Samsung has a glitch in the system that completely stops the use of the phone. It freezes and just stops all together and you lose the information you had. (since I only had 8 days and learning the new phone, I hadn't figured out how to upload and save my data.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The biggest issue is the battery life is poor. I always have to keep a charger close by. By lunch time i need to charge just with normal use. I have tried disabling bloot-ware and unused apps but does seem to help.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, poor battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Impossible to hold, overly delicate, no SD card capability

The Note 5 got smaller and the screen got bigger. In order to achieve this incredible feat, the screen now touches the edge of the device. Which is amazing for viewing, but it makes the device impossible to hold. Grabbing the device causes accidental typing, holding the Note 5 causes mistaken keypresses, and typing on the keyboard is difficult if the device is being held. I guess if you want to leave the Note 5 on a flat surface, it would be easier to touch.
I shattered the screen two days into ownership. My old Note 3 made it three years without a scratch. This one broke, and the only place to get it replaced is Samsung. Better news, the entire back is also glass, so you can shatter that side, too.
Coming from a Note 3, which has a replaceable battery and SD card slot, I expected the Note 5 to have a SD card capacity. Unfortunately, the Note 5 doesn't accommodate an SD card. Because the back is all glass (it's actually the glass from the front of the Galaxy 6 Edge), there's no chance of replacing the battery.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations, delicate, all glass construction, no side bevel to grab
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my new phone. This is my third samsung phone. Ilove how beautiful the pictures come out. I was scared getting the note 5. Too much to learn but so far I am loving it.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Lightweight, 5.7 screen, not too bulky
I would recommend this to a friend!

First Note Phone

I switched from the Galaxy version to the Note version. Overall, the phone seems the same compared to my S6 to this Note 5, with an exception of the pen. I use the pen quite often, so I would give that a thumbs up. I also love the fast charging that Samsung has boosted for their phones!
However, when using it with max performance the phone still heats up once in a while. Also, compare to other smartphones, the battery could be better!
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, s pen, can disable most pre-installed apps
Cons: battery
I would recommend this to a friend!

Recently upgraded

The Samsung Note 5 is actually my first Samsung phone. I have the Galaxy Tab 3 but upgraded from my LG Optimus G today through Sprint.
This afternoon and evening I have eased through the menus and setup. After charging the phone I have not needed to plug the phone in even after updates, downloading apps, playing games and texting. Even for a larger phone (which I was going for) there is no awkwardness holding it in one hand. The pen is amazing!! One of my favorite features by far. The clear images, seamless video play are all bonuses. I haven't found anything I dislike.
The only reason I gave three stars on the value is because this is the most I've ever spent on a phone. This is also due to misinformation I was given by Sprint's customer service regarding my plan. This is no fault of Samsung's. So far I am loving the phone and although I had been out of contract, I upgraded when I learned more about this device.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight, ease of use
I would recommend this to a friend!
