Big and beautiful, few problems

So far (after about 3 weeks) I am quite impressed with my Note 5. Coming from the iOS platform has been a bit daunting, even infuriating in the first few days, but overall the device is starting to become a part of me.
Great stuff first! The screen is beautiful! Nice and sharp with plenty of contrast and brightness, tiny bezel, good feel. Taps, swipes, multitouch is very responsive with the S Pen and old-school analog input (my fingers). Samsung Pay is wonderful too. I've had only one store unable to use it, and ironically it was the Sprint Store. Awkward. The phone is speedy in every regard and WiFi and LTE are top-notch. The S Pen is actually much more useful than I had anticipated. The ability to write on documents, take pixel-perfect screenclips and edit text are features I use nearly every day.
Now the not-so-great stuff... Actually most of what I don't like about the Note 5 has more to do with my carrier and/or Android itself than the phone. I loved iMessage and I miss it terribly. The copy/paste function feels clunky to me. Some of my texts fail. I assume none of these are the fault of the phone, so I can't really count that against it. However, some of the Samsung software bundled with the phone (and apparently un-removable) does not work so well. The S Note WIDGET simply doesn't display notes like I feel it should, and I cannot locate any settings to change it. Samsung Pay sometimes just won't recognize my bottom-up swipes, which can be a little embarrassing when attempting to look cool in the checkout line. Also I don't own any Samsung Gear products, so why can't I get rid of the Gear app?
All in all though I am hugely satisfied with the Note 5, as I am with all my Samsung products. 4+ stars for sure. I'm sure in future software updates (PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING!!) this will easily become a 5-star device.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display
Cons: subpar proprietary software
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been using the samsung line of notes for a while now and only can say they never fail to amaze me. Samsung contiunue to deliver a better product each time. Only thing i miss is the ability to add your own storage.
I do really like my Note 5 but I zlso really miss some of the features that the Note 4 had. I miss not being able to making videos with my pictures and music. But overall so far I love the sleekness to the phone.
I am a big fan of the Galaxy series of phones from Samsung as well as Android in general. I have had several over the years. I recently picked up this Note 5 when we switched to Sprint from AT&T. While the phone overall is great, the biggest frustration is the battery life. I am not sure what is causing it, but I take the phone off the charger around 8am but by the time I get home at 6pm, I am at 15-20% with minimal use. That means, just sending/receiving text messages and emails and other little things here and there. With heavier use, The phone battery is practically drained to 0%. I wish I could get better battery life so with that I am disappointed in that aspect of the phone. I also recently purchased the Galaxy Gear S2 which pairs quite nicely with that.
