Great Phone

I was a little hesitant to buy the Note 5 at first because of the issues with the non-removable battery and lack of an SD card. I'm glad I made the purchase. It's easily the best phone I've ever owned. The battery lasts longer than my Galaxy S5 and recharges quickly. As for storage I have the 64gb model. For additional storage I bought a Dash Mini Micro SD reader with a Samsung 128gb micro SD card. It about the size of a quarter. The internal storage is fine for 99% of my needs. I'll use the Dash for vacation photos and videos. Brilliant screen. Very fast and responsive. The camera is phenomenal.
This is my first galaxy phone and I am extremelyimpressed by how amazing and beautiful this device is.. the S pen is what made me choose the note over the s6 edge plus.. it's like I'm writing on actual paper. Being that I'm with Verizon it makes my experiencewith this phone even better. Thank you Samsung.. I am a customer of yours for good now.

The Note Line Gets Better

Upgraded from the Note 4 to the Note 5, and no regrets. Like everyone else, I was wondering about losing the removable battery and SD card. Happy to report that (at least for me), these are nonissues. I had an unexpectedly large amount of memory left after transferring everything from the old phone (even had to check that everything did get transferred!). Battery life is good, and I have an external battery for those extremely rare occasions when it's not. Performance is terrific, the display, of course, is gorgeous, and the build and feel are top-rate. It feels noticeably smaller than the Note 4, more than the small change in dimensions would suggest. The software enhancements are incremental, not earth shattering, but what was good is now better. BTW, there's no longer an IR blaster, which may matter to some users, but made no difference to me. The two small nits I have to pick are 1) now that I'm finally using the S-Health pedometer, it seems it doesn't display on the lock screen as it did on the Note 4 and 2) When you choose a program with which to open a link, it no longer asks whether you want to do it once or make it a default. Now, it just makes it the default.
I upgraded from a Note 4 to a Note 5 since my 4 seemed to have a mind of it's own. Well, the 5 also has a mind of it's own, just not quite as much. The 5 has a lot to offer over most other smartphones. Many folks are concerned over it's size being larger than most but I've found that the larger size is a tremendous advantage and I could never go back to a smaller screen.
The 2 things I'm not crazy about are that it does not accept a memory card and you cannot remove/replace the battery. What Samsung's rationale for those 2 changes escapes me.
Bought this phone with a upgrade not expecting much of it and was sort of bummed you can't take off the back...BUT it had exceeded my expectations like crazy! Great battery life, great FREE cloud storage, and awesome S Pen features! LOVE IT!
