I really like the phone. Have just learned how to take notes with the Stylus, now all I have to remember is to open them to read them. Still working on the rest of the features but am not at all fearful that I won't use most of them this time. GREAT camera!
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display
I would recommend this to a friend!

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is really fast

I loved the features of my Galaxy Note3 so I decided to upgrade to the new Note5 and am not sorry. The processor is noticeable faster so opening Apps and searching the Internet is very quick , there is little lag. The new stylist is very sensitive and my handwritten notes are good. There are many new features I haven't explored yet. Overall I am very satisfied with my new phone. It has 64Gb storage which is fine. I don't mind not having a Micro SD slot, since I use streaming services for music and video. Did I mention the display? It is superb, very clear and bright. The camera captures realistic colors and works pretty well in lower light with no adjustment. The built-in speakers are an improvement over the Note3. The Samsung Galexy offers are another valueable perk for Samsung owners.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, 5.7 inch display, camera
I would recommend this to a friend!

This phone is everything I could ever want. It's fast, reliable, and an amazing picture. I have one problem with it though. The battery isn't where it should be. Instead of making it so thin they should have kept increasing battery size. But the fast charge is a life saver and that helps. Overall I would recommend this phone to anyone.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable
Cons: short battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

When I was looking for a new phone, this one just felt good and balanced in the hand. I love the fingerprint feature. I'm never impressed with using a stylus but this spend is amazing. Watching videos are great on this phone.

Note 4 to Note 5
on January 10, 2016

Ok, so I was a bit nervous about a few things with the Note 5. Let me base this review on those worries.
I was updating from a Note 4 and was exceptionally happy with the 4. I've had the 4 for almost 2 years and the phone was still in perfect condition. I was worried about the upgrade not being much from the Note 4.
What I was thinking:
Will the phone be better performing with the new 64bit processor and 4gb of ram?
-- Absolutely. Significantly better in my opinion. Very smooth and fast. Much faster than my Note 4.
Will I miss the ability to add storage (like the 32gb msd I'm not sure what to do with now?
-- I have not yet. I have transitioned much of what I store to Google Drive and have not had much issue with connectivity to get to the info. So, I may in the future, but no issue at this point.
How much different was the feel of the phone compared to the Note 4?
-- I liked the leather feel case back from the Note 4 better than the slippery back of the Note 5. Given that I cannot change the 5, this forces me to get a case. I would prefer the Note 4 back.
Have I seen battery issues with the lesser Note 5 battery?
-- Not at all. Its good for a solid day. It is just as good if not better the Note 4. And no, I am not worried about replacement issues, I usually only have a phone for 2 years. The battery should last that long at least.
Is the Stylus that much better?
--Oh yeah.. I absolutely love the new stylus. I am using it much more than the Note 4 and I can actually understand what I have written!?
A few other honorable mentions:
--The camera is perfect. The best phone camera I have ever shot with.
-- Screen is very good, I cannot see much difference from the Note 4, but I have old eyes!
-- The Verizon 4G in Phoenix is awesome. I was experimenting with a Nexus 6 Fi Phone and the connection was terrible in comparison. And the Nexus is just not at the same level as the Samsung.
The Note 5 was a great update from the Note 4. My wife has a S6 Curve and likes it alot, but stated she will also be moving to a Note next. All around the best phone I have ever used. Works very well in all areas I use it for. I would recommend it!
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, high performamnce
Cons: slippery back
I would recommend this to a friend!

Gimmie back my Note 2

I have used a Galaxy Note 2 for over 3 years and reluctantly parted with it because of a well-practiced salesman and a darn-good camera and display. Within 24 hours of the purchase, though, I had (have) buyers remorse due to poor battery life and a sealed battery on top of that. The inability to expand the memory with an SD card also is a negative. I take a lot of high-quality pictures and enjoyed the luxury of sending those pictures to my expanded memory card in the GN2, however even though I purchased the 64G GN5, I can see I'll fill it pretty quickly. The display is INCREDIBLE, though, and the camera takes FANTASTIC low-light pictures. (which look great on the incredible display) I also forfeited an unlimited data plan to purchase this phone, something else I am quickly regretting. The speaker was placed on the bottom of the phone which makes it awkward to hear if you are holding the phone in landscape position, or if the phone is docked in any way.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no expandable memory, sealed battery
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
