Beware of the Note 5

We purchased four Note 5's on a family plan about 3 months ago.
One of our sons is a golfer and he only had his phone about two weeks before the screen cracked due to being in the heat (on a golf cart). We got this repaired and his second phone also cracked under the same situation. (This was a different phone since he had switched phones with my wife while waiting for his to be repaired the first time.)
Today, my wife's phone locked up and needs to be taken in.
The Note 5's do not have a very good track record with us!
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Note keeps getting better!

Excellent Phone, all of the best features of the Note 3 and Note 4, and tons of new features. The Wireless charging being built in is perfect and the size is a little more hand friendlier.
The only downsides are that it still is using the ancient TouchWiz Home launcher which is notoriously bad at handling app to homescreen transitions (and vice versa). Also, the phone get very hot very quickly if the screen is on for more than 10 minutes. Otherwise I am completely loving this phone!
Cons: touchwiz home needs to be updated or replaced, overheats way too easily...
I would recommend this to a friend!

I get the worst reception with this phone than i have with any other. It's actually pitiful and makes me regret this device. I have had it swapped out once already and the problem was not resolved. If you care about reception a lot, this is not the device for you.
Pros: Bright display, s-pen
Cons: cellular reception, durability
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

too many verizon bloatware and less samsung applications that are installed in other note5 battery life is not great at all
My phone's battery life is horrible and it doesn't stay charged all day. As before I had the Samsung Galaxy S5 and did the same activities on that phone and my phone had excellent battery life. Also I purchased the wireless charger that is supposed to be super fast charging and that also doesn't work properly. Overall the phone is great but wish it had a decent battery!!!!
Has all my needs for work, had a Samsung Galaxy 5 n went to a note 5 ,this is one of the best phones I have had , I can work on my phone number keep in contact with friends at all times awesome is only word I have.
Pros: Realistic color, Durable, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Going backwards

The things that I liked about the Samsung compared to the iPhone are gone and the things that I didn't like are worse. The first example is the lack of expandable memory. Is it really that hard to keep that feature? I doubt it, you just want more control over what I do. Shameful really. The other thing is the draconian features on the Samsung are worse. I am an adult and can listen to my music as loud as I please!!! Having to constantly see a warning about the volume is fascist. This feature should be allowed to be disabled at the least, removed would be better. Now there is a similar feature when you turn on the Bluetooth. Every time, it wants to put it in a safe mode for driving. Again, I am an adult and know about the dangers of texting and driving, this used to be a free country with citizens treated respectfully. That is slowly going away and again it is shameful. I will not be buying another Samsung phone, it's just not worth the liberty that is sacrificed. You think I'm exaggerating, but these things are real and need to be stopped. Consumers do have the power, they just don't know how to use it.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, too many limitations, not an improvement over last model
