Samsung did it again! The smartphone of the year!
Coming from a Note 3 with 32 GB memory, this Note 5 is just as great as the 3 but with a better built frame and body, faster internals and a outstanding 2-K resolution screen!
I got the Platinum Gold version which is just a beautiful piece of tech! The aluminum body and frame is excellent, super sleek and sexy, makes the Note 3 look very outdated! This metal frame design is going to last a lot longer than usual, not that the note 3 body did me wrong, but coming from plastic to metal makes a world of difference! I love the "Corning Gorilla Glass 4" glass which is on the front and back, it seems to be really durable but also very smooth. Definitely a finger print magnet! A good phone case is needed for protection and safety!
The screen is a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. 2-K on a 5.7 screen makes everything sharper and define, 1440 x 2560 pixels (~518 ppi pixel density). As a photographer, that 2-K resolution comes in handy when viewing photos through my phone and it is super superb!! Beautiful screen, just make sure to take care and not set the brightness too high for too long as it might cause permanent or temporary image retention.
A lot of people have chosen not to buy this device because of it not having expandable memory or even battery access. I didn't find that to be a problem for me. I had my Note 3 for 2 years and I've never had to change the battery, the battery memory was really good and still works great till this day!
I don't load up my phone with lots and lots of media data, so 32 GB's is perfect.
This Note 5 looks better than other smartphones in the market, screen is one of the best around and again beats the iPhone's screen leaps and bounds!
I'v been using this phone for a few months, and its everything i wanted in a phone. Its super fast, thin, battery life is pretty good, but of course if your watching shows or gameplay, it runs down fairly easily. However charges back up very fast as well. I can run so many things at once, without slowing down, and super simple and easy to use. The versatility to customize it for your needs is perfect. Screen writing , and touch is intuitive. I've even spilled water on my phone, dropped it, and a few other mishaps, and still works like new. Only down side i would say is an appropriate place for a clutching strap, or something i can use to hang from my wrist...since the phone is fairly wide screen, an easier way to quickly carry it around would be nice.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, fast os
Cons: needs a carrying strap for wrist
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the glass case..light weight..works flawless.great apps.whats not to like
The Note 5 has great performance. The 4k screen is nice as well. I mainly use this as a media device. The battery is okay. I usually make it about a day, but I'm a heavy user. I would have loved the speakers if they were front facing.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Lightweight, very fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great phone and mini tablet in one.
Only drawback is it is a bit to big for one handed operations if you are a big selfie taker
No comparison to any cell phones of my past experience.

This is my first smart phone. I chose this one because it's a note phone and has the android system. I have had a Samsung Galaxy tab 2 for several years now and have enjoyed it very much. I'm looking forward to using my Galaxy 5 Note. So far it's been fun.
