Remarkably Amazing

Upgrading from a Samsung S3 to this Note 5 was definitely a big change. At first I didn't know if i'd enjoy the bigger screen, but now that I have it, it's hard to think that I ever used anything smaller. One of the biggest things that interested me about the Note line was the stylus and out of all the generations of Note's this is the coolest because the pen has that satisfying click. But being able to use this for everyday task has become extremely helpful. If you're considering upgrading definitely go for the Note Line.
Pros: Realistic color, Durable, Lightweight, amazing camera mode, multitasking efficiency
Cons: micro sd expandability, removable battery
I would recommend this to a friend!

I should have seriously done more homework about this phone before I bought it

This phone is insanely fast but the lack of a MicroSD slot makes me want to go back to my Samsung Galaxy S4. Cloud storage is fine for static files but useless for apps. Cloud storage is also a drain on data plans so care must be taken to ensure you’re on a Wi-Fi connection when using it. And more cloud storage also means more drain on the battery. This is such a great phone that I simply cannot fathom why a MicroSD card slot isn’t there. Consider the fact that the carrier loads over half of the internal 32GB with junkapps you can’t remove without rooting makes this phone a pretty bad choice that I am now stuck with. I should have seriously done more homework about this phone before I bought it.
Pros: very fast
Cons: no microsd slot, waste carrier data plan
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

5 Star Device BEFORE Marshmallow Update
on April 13, 2016

When I first puchased the Note 5 I absolutely loved this phone. Fantastic camera, long battery life (I routinely got up to 2days, 20 hrs battery life), great features such as S-Pen, and solid performance all around. Then, a few weeks ago I received the update to Android Marshmallow. Unfortunately since the update, many of the things I love about the phone are broken. Battery life which used to last almost 3 days, now lasts only about 14hrs, barely enough to get through 1 day (note that 1 of marshmallow's biggest new features is Doze, which substantially increases battery life when the phone ramains untouched for a long time, IE. overnight, but me phone routinely loses 20% battery overnight where it used to only lose about 3%). Also, the Wifi is now terrible as it cannot hold a signal, causing webpages not to load and causing much frustration. Even after I received a carrier update supposed to fix the wifi, it hasnt really improved much at all. It is a shame that Samsung took an incredible device and ruined it with a software update. The phone has great features such as the aforementioned S-pen, good performance, a great screen, and a great camera but these new problems quicklt overshadow the features. Although I used to love the Note 5, since the update I can't wait to get rid of it. Samsung, please release a fix for these problems so I (and many others experiencing similar problems) don't regret the purchase.
Pros: Bright display, camera, s-pen, large display
Cons: poor battery life after mm update, wifi drops signal after mm update, fragile design with rear glass panel
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my Note 5!

I am on-call and this phone does not ever drop calls and has wonderful GPS. I go to different locations for work; so GPS is important. This phone is a business tool, not a toy. I have not had time to explore all of the non-business, fun features yet. Everything else will just be a bonus to the already excellent performance of my Note 5.
Upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S5. As expected, GN5 is much faster thanks to processor and memory upgrades. The camera is much quicker on startup and execution. The S Pen is a great addition, although you can stick it back in the phone upside down. It seems like a simple design feature that was overlooked. The solid "metal" build is definitely an upgrade over the plastic-y feel of the GS5. So far, so good.
Oh, random complaint...why didn't you include headphones Samsung?
Pros: Bright display
Cons: no expandable memory port, did not include headphones for some reason
I would recommend this to a friend!

Going from a Note2 to a Note5 was a no brainer. Sleek, lightweight, fast, captivating. For a guy with big hands it's just right, anything else feels lime a toy. The camera is awesome, the battery is pretty long lasting as well. I love the look and feel of this phone, er I mean phablet.
