I had the Note 3 for more than two years, and loved every minute of it. Didn't have any need to upgrade, other than the fact I'm a tech geek, and since I could upgrade AND save a couple bucks per month - well, Momma didn't raise no fool. This the sweetest machine . . . The ONLY problem is that it's so smooth, it slides off of anyplace I set it. (I think I can live with that). Just finished a Skype call; the video and audio quality is absolutely perfect. I'm a huge Samsung fan, ever since the Note 3, and this Note 5 just takes to a whole new level! I am totally happy with this phone!
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight, fast and powerful
I would recommend this to a friend!

The screen is excellent, bright, crisp, highly detailed; the best I looked at. One of the few phone screens I can read without reading glasses. A bit unwieldy to handle as a phone because of size, but quickly getting use to it. Found the back to be a bit slick to grip - enough to ding design a star, much better with a jacket on it. Fingerprint recognition is hit and miss - so dinged performance a star. Print recognition works well for a day or two after I enter a print, then gradually gets worse. Pressing the on button with the finger to be used for recognition seems to guarantee failure. Be sure to set up and remember your backup password if you set up fingerprint sign-in. Found that if fingers of the hand cradling the phone wrap around edge slightly, zoom function (such as on camera) keeps going once started until you get fingers slightly away from screen - much less likely with a jacket on the phone. There is a sweet spot for phone audio clarity when holding it to your ear - took me a few times to move phone to hit it at first, now get it first try most of the time when bringing up to ear. Speaker phone mode is very good. Like the S-Pen very much, excellent for avoiding fat fingering of text input (and keeps the screen less smudged). Camera is excellent, good in low light. I sometimes trigger burst mode accidentally when intending to take a single shot. Pictures have the odd format of the screen dimensions, but pictures are easily cropped for sharing. No problems picking up and joining WiFi or linking with Bluetooth. I have not used the near field link yet. Wondering if hit and miss fingerprint recognition will be a problem with one of the pay-by-phone utilities. Performance is excellent, no problems with apps I've used so far. Touch screen is responsive; it is very precise when using pen. I've used micro-USB flash drive, cloud services, and WiFi to move files between phone and other computers with no problems. Battery generally lasts two days during light usage, and 12 or more hours when used during most the day - however I keep Bluetooth off when not using it and do not do movie streaming other than the occasional YouTube clip. Overall, I'm very pleased with purchasing this phone for the 6 weeks I've had it.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, responsive; good performance, pen is great input tool
Cons: fingerprint recognition is hit or miss, phone is bit slick to hold without jacket
I would recommend this to a friend!

I haven't had it half a day and I already love it. It's big but not too flashy
This is a great device that is definitely an improvement from others I have owned in the past which would cover most brands. The performance is well above every other device on the market not only in speed but also smoothness with transitioning between apps. The features associated with the pen come in extremely convenient all the time.
My husband and I have been Note fans since the Note 2. We now have the Note 4 and 5 and absolutely love them! I was originally skeptical of the new design of the 5...sealed back, no SD card slot but, I have now owned it 4 months with no issues. I have to add though that, through no apparent fault of Samsung, I cracked the camera lens after only 2 weeks by simply leaning slightly against a cabinet with the phone in my pocket. Thankfully, I had insurance! As far as functionality, the phone is super fast for all that I do with it. The camera takes amazing photos! Even in zoom, they are still relatively sharp. There are still tons of settings and functions I have yet to discover and every day I learn something new this thing can do. The only thing I can say I'd change is the color I chose. I got the white pearl, which is nice but after seeing the gold platinum, I'm in love with that color! Great phone overall!
