I have this device through Verizon. After 10 months, the home screen button stopped working completely. I have been given 3 replacement devices in the past month, all of which have serious issues. The 1st one's screen went black, the 2nd one didn't auto-rotate, nor did the light sensor work (so removing the phone from the side of my face it would not light up unless i pressed the home key), and the 3rd one i have now has the EXACT same issues. I'm unfortunately stuck paying for this one for the next 8 months on a payment plan, but when I'm done, i will not be going back to a Samsung device after having nothing but trouble with the 4 i have received.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New sim, no removable battery, no external storage.

I got my note 5 in the mail today. On top of the known changes I found out it required a smaller SIM card than my old note4 and s5 both used. Hoping it will get better reception than my note 4, it dropped calls ALL the time. I will try to update this after I get some more time on the phone.
Pros: s-pen
Cons: no external storage, no removable battery, new style sim card
I would recommend this to a friend!

ok so this is my first review but here goes nothing likes 1. love the speed of the processor on the phone 2. love the screen size and picture quality 3. love the feel in the hand 4. battery life has been good so far
dislikes 1. major dislike - no micro sd slot 2. speaker is not loud enough and playing games that need to turn sideways the sound gets muffled. 3. very slippery phone, glass looks nice on the back but just slippery 4. wish it had the same ppi as the galaxy 6 edge but that not really a big one 5. replacement battery would be nice again back cover should come off if you slide it up or down thats how it should have been made so you can get to micro sd and battery
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display
I would recommend this to a friend!

Note 5 is Excellent!

I am very pleased that I switched from a Note 4 to a Note 5. The features that have been changed/upgraded are well worth it. The S Pen features are much better, allowing the user to customize which options they want. The snapping end is entertaining along with useful. They should have done that a long time ago. Now for the S Pen "design flaw", if you can even call it that. If someone is considering not buying the phone for this very reason, I'm glad you're not because we don't want you on Samsung's side. I consider myself semi-intelligent, and if I can't figure out the way a pen goes into a phone, I've got bigger problems.
Buy the phone, the speed, the features, THE CAMERA are all excellent!
I absolutely loved my Note 2, so when I was due for an upgrade it was a no-brainer that I would get another Note. However, either I have something wrong in my settings or else it's my bad luck receiving a defective phone...because my battery life is horrible! I'm not a heavy cell phone user. I'm using this new Note 5 the exact same as I used my Note 2 and my Note 2 had WAY longer battery life! Disappointed in that, but other than that I love the size, appearance and versatility of the Note 5.
Pros: size, camera/picture quality
Cons: battery life between charges
I would recommend this to a friend!

When I first got the phone 2 weeks ago, everything was great. Now, I can't open any apps, nothing is working, and the phone won't even stay on longer than 10 minutes at a time without restarting itself. I'm starting to regret getting this phone, and I really wish I wasn't.
Cons: apps not working, apps constantly close down
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great look and feel, several steps back from previous models

The phone looks great and very sleek, but when compared to the previous models its lacking several features. The first ais obviously the lack of sd card. This is a bit of a big deal when when transferring data between devices that do not allow a form of wireless transfer or playback. The other is the missing IR sensor. This was a big feature that i have grown accustomed to over the years. The other is not being able to remove the battery door in order to add a case. While its not a big deal, if you cant take off the door to add a case then while adding a new case it adda to the thickness of the phone.
