I upgraded from the S4 to the S7 seven months ago. This phone is amazing! not only is it lightning fast and full of features, but it is also WATER RESISTANT! The camera is great and the wireless charging is a cool touch. I can't imagine using anything but a Samsung Galaxy. Battery life is good and I get a full day, 16-17 hours, without recharging. I am a medium use user and check my email and reply and send probably 30-40 times a day. Add to this the social media and internet use and the battery life is better than expected. Very solid phone.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, waterproof, wireless charging

All together great phone even after dropping it on a rocky surface my screen didn't break I only got a small a slightly annoying spot of stuck pixels
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Lightweight, Built-in speakers

I really liked my S5 but in the short time I have used the S7 it seems worth the upgrade.

the screens have broken on all of my s7 edges I have several....I was told it's gorrila glass . it's not! I am not pleased at all
Cons: screen breaks for no reason

I traded my Droid Maxx and am very pleased I upgraded to my Galaxy S7, easy to use, setup and enjoy. Only negative so far is it is a bit slippery getting it out of holster case. Otherwise I recomend.
