I've been a fan of Samsung devices for some time now but the past few generations seemed like only minor upgrades from my stellar Galaxy S4. I was really looking for a dramatic change in form and function and I'm pleased to say that the Galaxy S7 delivers.
Overall, the devices build quality is excellent. They nailed the Buttons this year with the exception of the fingerprint scanner. I would have preferred it on the lock button instead of the home button. Otherwise it's perfect. It's solid and weighty. The frame is cleanly laid out and esthetically pleasing. Oh and it's waterproof.
The OS and menus are standard Samsung fare and not overly bloated. Can't remove some of the garbage apps but that's normal. The SD card slot was a must for me, glad Samsung agrees.
Screen and picture quality are about the best I've seen on a phone. Samsung really got this right compared to my S4 and even the S6 I had seen. Other brands are good but Samsung surpassed my friends HTC and Apple devices in side by side tests.
The sound is good but the speaker placement is a little annoying. Holding the phone can easily obstruct the otherwise loud speaker. Calls went well with clear voice on both ends.
My final selling point was the wireless charging. Everyone knows that USB mini is a failure point on android devices. It's always the first thing to go. The connection gets loose and then you can't charge easily. Well now we have fast wireless charging from zero to full in about 3:30 and if you really need to run, standard USB charging in 1:30. That's fast. The battery always lastso me the whole day and I am a power user by definition. On board power saving is effective as well.
I love this phone. If you're buyinga new phone and looking at an iPhone 6, try this instead. You may be converted. If you had another android, rest assured this is the new benchmark of excellence. Great job Samsung.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, wireless charging, great camera, waterproof, solid and ergonomic, exceptional battery life, newest android os
Cons: bad speaker placement, clunky fingerprint scanner

Upgraded from a S5 that I had outgrown in capacity and speed. More apps and pics made me constantly have to move big apps to my SD card. When I bought the S7 I got a 200gb SD and now I have lots of space and lightning fast speed. The screen is clear and vivid, the sound is great and I am impressed with the camera and new OS upgrade.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, fast as lightning
Cons: just a little pricey
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Edge feature can be a little annoying when you're holding the phone. The Edge panel will open when you are trying to tap letters close to the left edge. Other than that, it's a great phone!!!
Works great. Best I've had yet. Easy to set up, transfered all my stuff over without a hitch.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

I change phones way too often always needing to have the latest and greatest. Sometimes the latest isn't always the greatest. In the case of the Galaxy S7 Edge, the latest is truly the greatest. Butter smooth and the camera is phenomenal! I have to try to mess up a picture for it not to be sharp and in focus. Great product. Not sure how Samsung will top this with the S8.
