Great sound in a small package!

I bought this as additional gadget to my ever expanding teaching logistics because of various dance classes that continue to grow in numbers in diff locations. Bose superb sound is always a given. The advantage over my other soundtouch units & sound docks is the remote that allow me to switch between mic on aux & iPod on bluetooth. My only pet-peeve is that it has no rechargeable battery power.

Great Speaker, bad connectivity and APP

No longer support airplay. most of us use iPhones , iPods or iPads at home and now is really uncomfortable the way to listen to it, I have a 2 sound touch 20 and one portable version II and this is the last I´m buying because of that.

Thank you for the review. We appreciate the feedback. While the new Series III SoundTouch systems do not support AirPlay, they do allow you to connect via Bluetooth. This allows you to connect many devices aside from Apple products and access many more sources. You can also rebroadcast that audio connected via Bluetooth to all of your other SoundTouch products.

Great small speaker, good features; has fatal flaw

The speaker system is fantastic. Tying in with your network is fantastic. The app and remote are wonderful.
BUT...
The draw of a small speaker like this (aside from price) is *portability*. Not having a battery is a fatal flaw. What a tragedy that you can't pick this speaker up (preferably off a charging base) and take it with you from the bedroom into the bathroom during your shower or from the living room back to your patio while you grill. Missed opportunity.

There's a latency when I connect my SoundTouch !

I bought the SoundTouch recently and the main reason I bought it was for the rich sound. Connected my Yamaha Electronic Piano P105 to the SoundTouch via AUX and there's latency! It's a split second delay, but that throws me completely off track when it comes to playing. Please tell me there is something I can do to rectify this! I will be forced to return the product otherwise!

Sitting here listening to Coltrane on Pandora while writing this and can't believe the sound coming out of this small unit.Got this past weekend, got It home and took me about 30 minutes to set up.I'm 60 and not the most tech savvy but getting the Bose app. And getting everything on iPad and phones was really not hard at all.With the wireless and Bluetooth and all the music I can get I'm going to be happy with this for along time.This is going to be a good addition to our kitchen once i go back and buy the 30 for Christmas.Don't know how Bose does it but keep it up.

A little brother for my other SoundTouch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved my SoundTouch 20 so much that I decided it needed a "helper". Though it fills my living/dining area with sound quite easily I wanted something that would extend my listening pleasure into my adjacent 9 X 12 kitchen. This little speaker is perfect for that purpose. In some ways, it sounds a little better than it's big brother -- the treble is a little brighter and the upper bass has less boominess. But the larger ST20 provides much stronger bass and a reasonable stereo image for the larger rooms. When used together they fill my one-floor house with sound.
Both my SoundTouches work perfectly with the Bose app for my iPhone and iPad, but the Windows app on my PC is a different story. Also, I would suggest that Bose mention in their website that for best performance, a dual-band router really helps. Now that I've upgraded from my older single band unit, I have both my Soundtouches on the 5ghz band and it improves both the sound quality and stability of the connection.
I'm so pleased with both of these speakers that, who knows? Maybe I'll have a whole "family" of Bose Soundtouches around my house!

I have had my 2 Soundtouch 10 speakers for more than a year. Many issues have occurred but I'll just name a few. While hooked up to WIFI, if I sit down at my computer any video from my computer will got to the speaker even when playing music.
It would not stay connected\ for more than a day.
It keeps dropping off my wifi network. I have had this put away for more than 6 months our of pure frustration.
Is there anything that I can do?
