Good Sound but.....

I purchased the Bose SoundTouch system and was very pleased with the sound. However, I had perpetual problems with my connections and the app is not nearly as flexible or comprehensive as that of the Sonos system. I have since replaced my Sound Touch with Sonos for the flexibility of the app primarily.

Love My Bose SoundTouch 10's

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve really enjoyed listening to my SoundTouch 10's. I think they’re an excellent product and a great value. The app works well and offers a huge variety of optional ways of playing music. The design, ease of use, and the sound is high-quality Bose. While they will get fairly loud, i don’t believe that was the design goal. For low to mid volume playing, they have very good low bass and excellent mid to high treble sound. I love the 6 preset buttons on both the speaker and the remote. I was so impressed with the one I bought, I quickly bought a second one, and pairing the two for stereo output has really pushed up much higher my listening pleasure. And if I want to separate the stereo pair and place one in another room with a different music source, it’s simple to do, and easy to pair them back up again. NOTE: I did have some early on challenges with device discovery (having the app find the SoundTouch). I always found the Bose Support Techs helpful and courteous, however, they would usually guide me through a reset of the speakers, which I could do myself, and they’d work for a while then start acting up again, and it was not until I spoke with one tech in particular that he resolved it in full. It was in the Wi-Fi router settings. One change had to do with channel selection, which other techs had tried, but also one other router change that the tech said this will solve the device discovery issues for sure. I wish I could tell you what setting that was, sorry. They work flawlessly now. The price has been lowered. Buy two! White is very attractive. Highly recommended!

Excellent musial powerhouse!

we bought this music system a few days ago, and i'm so glad we did! The quality of the music that comes out of this little baby is stellar...clean crisp sound quality that you would expect from BOSE. I really love the fact that I can listen to music from different devices, stream from all kinds of stations and also i can listen to radio stations from all over the world. truly a great buy... love it!

Daily Source of Aggravation

I wish I had never bought two SoundTouch 10 speakers. I seem to have about a 50% chance of the SoundTouch app finding the speaker every morning so I can begin playing music. If the app does find the speaker, there's about a 25% chance that I'll be able to play both the speakers. Also, I've noticed that if I connect to one of the SoundTouch speakers using Bluetooth, the app has a difficult time connecting to the speaker wirelessly the next time I try to use it.
Based on years of customer complaints in Bose's product support pages, the wireless connection issue has existed since these speakers came on the market and have never been resolved by Bose.
Save yourself the aggravation and avoid buying this speaker.

What it does it does well but...

How it possible that the speakers don't stream Apple Music/Radio, of all services? Or that there is no option to shuffle music from your own iTunes library? So I have to listen to songs in alphabetical order? These are major faults and while they might not bother lots of people, the way the the list of supported services is worded is misleading; it should state clearly that the services listed are the ONLY services supported.

Great System

I bought these about 3 months ago and loved the sound quality and the ease of use. They were a perfect way to keep music in all the rooms of our house and let us create the ambiance we wanted for all of our parties.
The issue I ran into, though, was that at least 1 of the 4 would be offline whenever I would open the app and all of them would drop on and off the network regularly. I couldn't keep music operating regularly, which was very disappointing knowing how great they were when they were working. I was very annoyed and my spouse and I were trying to find a way to make these work when we had a separate issue with our internet provider and changed service.
With that change came a new high-end router and we found out that the problem was not with the speakers but with the router instead. Once we got the new system connected to the new router, we haven't had a single problem and all 4 SoundTouch 10s that we have have worked perfectly. These speakers have a decent draw on network bandwidth, so make sure that you have a powerful enough router to handle them, especially if you are buying a few of them, so that your router doesn't lose any.

Good sound OK features

I bought two of the sound touch 10 about a month ago. When I bought them I didn't expect to use the touch buttons so much. The button's have turned out to be my favorite thing about them. I do wish they could pair up in a true stereo mode and could take what you have in the AUX and play everywhere. Good sound but does not blow me away. Good for small rooms.
