Sound quality great. App bad and delay

I bought a few sound touch 10 and they play w slight delay between speakers. Also can't figure out how to run in battery thru the wireless network. Lastly, the app is poor.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the SoundTouch 10 system and would like to help. When using the Play Everywhere function with multiple SoundTouch systems on the same network, you should not have any delay at all between speakers. The SoundTouch 10 does not have a battery in it, so it would need to be connected to the wall for power.

Great speaker. Bad app !

I give five stars to the speaker for the price point but 1 star for the app. And since the app is part of the experience, I give the whole system 2 stars. Bose, please improve the app soon !. Some suggestions from my personal preference
- add lock screen support so that I don't have to start the app just to use volume button !
- ability to add more favorites. Understand the physical speaker has 6 buttons on top, but why limit the app? Use the first 6 for the quick dial, but I want to see the rest of my favorites in the app !
- just look and feel can use an upgrade. Specially on the iphone.
- I want to buy another one once I can start using these in stereo ! Please add this soon
- more radio stations/music apps. Amazon music and slacker will be nice !

Can't keep Bluetooth connected

Everything is great with the exception of the Bluetooth. I turn it off and I have to go through the pairing process to connect to my phone again the next time. This happens everytime! It drives me nuts. Worst Bose product I've ever had and it's only based on that fail.

Sound = great but only for music, not video

Let’s be very clear... these speakers are for music playback only. Do not buy them if you intend to use as a sound system for video plays as the will be a minimum 3s lag on the sound vs video.
To be fair Bose only lists their use for music but it should have been stated there would be a lag for video. It makes no sense to me that I can’t do both.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing a video lag with your SoundTouch 10's when you are playing a video. The lag is fairly normal for Bluetooth connections as it is the time it takes to decode the Bluetooth signal. However, depending on your source device, you may have some settings under 'Sound' where you may be able to toggle your delay and improve the listening experience!

Quality of Sound and Connectivity

For Christmas this year, I got my retired folks and myself a SoundTouch10 to compliment their Wave Radio and not only is the sound quality amazing, it was easy to set up! Not needing bluetooth, I simply set up a Pandora account, used my Mom's Kindle their wifi and music has been streaming since Christmas morning! The remote has 6 options for stations on Pandora. There are so many other options to stream from radio local to national, Spotify, your own library for those but the sheer joy on my parents listen to music outside of discs and albums is AMAZING! They are so pleased! I cannot wait to get mine set up!
