Please FIX THE APP

The Bose soundtouch 10 are very good speakers, BUT, THE APPLE APP IS TERRIBLE, i have had this speaker for two years, and i keep thinking Bose will fix this problem!
The Apple app only works about 5% of the time without resetting the whole system and adding the speaker to the network again, extremely frustrating!

Hello Gwhouse57,
Thanks for taking the time to provide a review of the SoundTouch 10 wireless system. We're sorry to hear about the experience you're having! We definitely want to help and ensure you're getting the most out of your speaker.
Here are few troubleshooting steps we recommend that can help you:
Please check the signal strength inside the app: Tap Menu>Settings> About>Select System and look under "RSSI"
If poor, try to move the system closer to the router to increase the strength of the Wi-Fi signal and establish connectivity.
Reboot the router: Any networked device using an Internet connection—like streaming video, voice or TV services—will be interrupted during the reset. Determine if all connected devices can be stopped, then reboot the router by disconnecting its power cord for a minute.
If you continue to have trouble, we are here to assist. Please feel free to reach out to us on our Community for additional support.

Great sound, horrible interface and updates

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received two of the SoundTouch 10 speakers that will reside in my photo studio.
At first, I was hesitant to set them up on my home network as I'd have to change the settings for my studio, but was too excited not to get them set up.
Thankfully, I decided to do this at home because it was tedious, to say the least. The iPhone app is a pain to use and wouldn't push the update to the speakers or add services (Spotify, Pandora, etc). One of the speakers I had to manually update with USB cable. The other, after doing the first manually, miraculously pushed the update. This was after factory resetting both of them, ensuring they were on the correct networks, etc.
I would easily give them a 5-star rating if it weren't for the tedium I've experienced getting them ready. I really hope it's not this much a pain to switch the networks they're on once in my studio.

I can tell it not true stereo and it's maddening..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Won this as a prize, it's great for background music while in the kitchen or shower or haul it out on the porch.. but the lack of an equlizer makes it sound muddled. There is a bass slider but it doesn't do much. It's loud, and will fill a good sized room. But if you're used to nicer headphones or a well put together stereo system and you know how a song should sound this isn't for you.. the main thing is that while it does pump out both channels it just doesn't sound right...

Hello Zb,
Thank you for providing your review of the SoundTouch 10 wireless headphones. We appreciate your feedback. While the system does not output a true stereo signal, but with the proprietary design, it is engineered to provide full, rich sound just about anywhere.
Additionally, with two SoundTouch 10 systems, you can separate left- and right-channel audio to form a stereo pair thus creating a wider, more natural sound field.
You can learn how to do that here: http://bit.ly/2T4Yz3H
Hope this helps and thanks again for the review!
Take care

Subpar sound

I bought this to replace a sonos play 1 that wasn't working with my wifi. Overall a pretty good speaker with a very handy app. Bluetooth, and aux input and the ability to set pre-set playlists are some of the best features of the speaker and the remote is a nice addition. However, the sound leaves much to be desired. I've always been happy with my bose products but the sound from the soundtouch 10 is very flat and lacks in the mids and the lows. What's frustrating is the app only has the option to turn the bass down, but not up or the ability to make any other EQ adjustments. It's frustrating since I love all the features but get better sound from a soundlink mini I've had for 6 years. I have enjoyed all my Bose products up until this point but would not recommend this speaker as the features do not make up for the poor sound quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I owned this two years or so. It's sound is not amazing kind of thing, but it fit very well for everyday just want-to-get-some-music-on-in-the-room kind of use. It is easy to use with Bluetooth, but other fancy radio preset things are not as handy as the playing through bluetooth. I do hope if this thing can pickup some volume so it can be heard with people talking in the room though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own a Bose SoundTouch 10 and it is a great speaker and the bass is amazing but the vocals aren’t as great as the bass. I don’t think the vocals pop like they should in some songs but in every song the bass always pops.

Divine Sound, Garbage Software

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two pairs. The sound is beautiful, BUT setting them up and operating them is like pulling teeth. User unfriendly, and SO, SO unintuitive. Why doesn’t Bose turn over its software development to Apple? Also, Bose “updated” its software recently and in the process lost a great feature, to sort radio stations, not just by country and language, but also by type of music. I love to listen to classical music and I was able to easily identify such stations from around the world.
