TuneIn

The move to TuneIn turned made most of my favorite radio disappear. The quality of the sound went down for the other stations. Congratulations for this move... We are forced to use other application like DS Audio for broadcasting radios via bluetooth... much more complicated and the shortcuts buttons are now useless.

Speakers never reconnect to Wifi automatically. Getting the speakers to connect on app is a struggle EVERY time. I own 2 that I like to connect to eachother but I dont have hours to sit with an app and struggle. When actually connected the sounds is great, but the process is awful. Overall disappointing and wish I never purchased them.

I Hate the Automatic Standby Mode

I wanted a powered speaker to use with a scanner. The SoundTouch 10 does have great sound but it keeps going into standby mode when the scanner is quiet for a while. This makes the speaker nearly useless for me. Do you have a similar speaker that does not automatically go into standby mode?
Response from bose.comBy Kerri , Techncial Support, May 6, 2019
Hi Zoo dog, thank you for taking the time to review our product. At Bose, we pride ourselves on producing products that will cater to as many people as possible. However, we understand that this may not be suited to an individual’s needs. All our speakers have standby. Once again, thank you for your time. Have a great day! Confused
on July 23, 2019

I'm confused does this speaker work without the wire its comes with? Because it wont turn on without it.
Response from bose.comBy Vicky W , Technical Support, July 25, 2019
Hello Chevy,
Thanks for reaching out. Our SoundTouch 10 speaker is wireless as you can wirelessly stream music to it via wifi via SoundTouch or Bluetooth. With SoundTouch, we put a lot of thought into taking the thinking out. You can listen whichever way you want, without worrying about which technology is best. This small wireless speaker lets you play music directly from a phone or tablet using Bluetooth, or connect the speaker to your Wi-Fi network for instant in-home listening.
You cannot use this speaker without connecting it to a power source.
I am sorry for any confusion caused.
Kind Regards, Vicky W - Customer Support

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] bought 2 10's to pair with bose soundwave iv to acheive stereo. the good news is the speakers sound fantastic and split audio channels well. however when paired with bose soundwave you can not play radio.aux input or cd. there is no digital input simply analog. essentially you are limited to internet stations-your saved system music-pandora etc. my guess is the system is designed as a receiver rather than a player. also when you turn on again you must go throught the bose app to pair the speakers again-really annoying. hopefully bose will issue system update to allow aux play. would also like more than six presets on soundwave 1v. user instructions are non existent other than on line and somewhat arcane to say the least. again fantastic sound but not as advertised.

Hi Tom,
I'm so glad to hear that you are enjoying the sound quality from your stereo paired SoundTouch 10 speakers.
In regards to playing CD's, you will be unable to broadcast these to your SoundTouch 10 speakers as you will need the SoundTouch source for this. You cannot be in the CD source and SoundTouch source simultaneously. However, the systems are able to Aux rebroadcast, so you can plug a source into the Aux and broadcast to all connected speakers through 'Play all'.
Additionally, your stereo paired SoundTouch 10's should remain paired. If this is not the case, I would recommend reaching out to your local Technical Support Team for assistance.
Thank you for your interest in our products!
Kindest,
Kerri - Customer Support

Best of times. Worst of times.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start with I have never had better sounding speakers in my entire life. Let me finish with I have never had worst networking in my entire life. Clearly, these are going back. I sit there in bliss listening to music, then the disconnects start to happen. This can only be solved by starting the whole reset networking process over again. Then I need to set them again as a pair, because that’s where the pure beauty is.I then get 20 to 30 minutes of the best sound I’ve ever heard and I have to reconnect them all again. Over and over and over and over and over. I want to pour lighted fluid on these things and burn them.
