No bluetooth capability without dock

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE !

We recently moved back from Hawaii to Ft. Lauderdale. Prior to moving to Hawaii we had a big stereo system in our apartment which we gave to the church when we moved. When we returned we didn’t want to invest in a full system so after research and talking to owners we purchased the Bose Wave System IV,
IT IS UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME!
It fills the room with deep rich sound for both radio and CD’s. It fits in to the smallest spaces.
It’s extremely easy to set up right out of the box and tremendous value for the price.
I highly recommend this product to anyone!

Loving my Music System IV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my System IV on August 25, 2020 and have really enjoyed it. I have connected with the XM radio service, Amazon Music, TuneIN and Pandora. But the thing I like the most is being able to play the music I have stored on my desktop computer.

Such a great sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first Bose about six months ago and it is in the living room. I love the sound so well, I bought another one for the basement as that is where I work in my home. Spend more time there than upstairs. I am set for life now with my music.

Love SoundTouch but ...

I have a SoundTouch 20 and a SoundTouch Portable. I bought as a gift another SoundTouch 20. All of which had AirPlay. I was in the market for another SoundTouch 20 or 30 but as I was reading up on the units I realized Bose removed AirPlay in favor of Bluetooth. I've had several Bluetooth speakers and I have to say the reliability of Bluetooth for me was pretty bad. Now, I really like SoundTouch (a lot), but the lack of AirPlay means it's time for me to look elsewhere as I feel Bluetooth is a step backwards.

We are sorry to hear of your previous experience with Bluetooth. The new Series III SoundTouch systems support Bluetooth as it is a much more popular and widely available technology that allows you to connect many more devices to your SoundTouch products. In addition, that Bluetooth audio can then be rebroadcast to all of your SoundTouch products (including your older ones). While the new SoundTouch systems do not support AirPlay, the older ones still will and we feel that Bluetooth will help more customers connect many more devices to enjoy even more music via WiFi.
