I need the control buttons back!

I have purchased this 3 months ago and it is fantastic. I love the new design but one thing I really need is the control buttons. I rarely use a remote on my player so having the controls on the unit gives me assurance even if I don't have a replacement battery for my remote or if gets lost I am assured I can still enjoy my music.

Poor design linking all features to the remote

Radio works well and sound is very good --- If you lose the remote all function is lost .Preferred the old model with controls on top. Can't turn the radio on or off or do anything without the remote. Definitely not an enhancement to the product.

We wanted to let you know that while many of the source-specific functions are performed with the remote control, there is a touch-sensitive power button on top of the system that can also be used to snooze the alarm in the morning.

No sound

Christmas gift. Opened up, plugged it in great sound as expected. Next morning no sound. Did all the trouble shooting steps, at one point it came on long enough to play 2 songs on a CD and then nothing. I'm very disappointed. We waited a long time to get this radio and didn't expect it to fail in the first 24hrs. It will be going back on Monday unless Bose support has some magic.

A GIFT TO MYSLEF: MORE THAN HAPPY!

I had wanted this for like five years.... it is a bit pricy so I kept talking myself out of it. Finally, I cave in and gave myself my gift and it is all mine even though my teen would love to take over. The sound is amazing. I love to listen to Pandora on it with all the selected stations I have with it. The set up was simplistic. I fully recommend it. My sales person recommended that I purchase another remote. The one that comes with it is thin and small and easy to misplace. The other one is larger and has it's own stand. I am glad to have listen to my sales person.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my new Bose w/cd player and I couldn't be happier. I felt lost waking up without that great sound every morning, my original Bose sound finally went out before the holidays after having it for 23 years, but all is well now.
