growing up my mom had one. she still has the same one. it must be 30 years old, i'm 40 now and 10 years ago i acquired mine and screwed it under the cabinets. its so perfect for a.m. npr listening and its even better when we have our evening jam sessions instead of watching tv. its so perfect for cooking and listening to your iPod. i absolutely LOVE IT! this new one is obviously updated but it will be the very best purchase you make the price point to me is worth every penny. and the customer service at bose is remarkable! i want another speaker. i have a portable speaker in my bathroom and i am going to get the portable just wanted to see if bose might get one more on the shelf...

Extraordinary Sound System

I waited five years before buying this item and really it's worth the price. when you close tour eyes you have the feeling that a large speaker is playing. The sound is so live and powerful. I'm just happy.

Such versatility with all of todays music options available: WiFi, Bluetooth, AM/FM, CD. If it is recorded, you can enjoy it. And the best part of this system, the quality of music reproduction. It is absolutely the very, very best considering its size and convenience. I have been an audiophile most of my life, and nothing has impressed me more than this system, nothing! Thank you Bose!

I love my Wave IV but I have one suggestion. They need to make a remote with backlighting. It's impossible to know which button does what in the middle of the night.

Bose ruined internet radio with "TuneIn"

We enjoyed Bose Internet Radio for several years listening to mostly European internet and ordinary stations. Your change to "TuneIn" caused us to lose 5 of our 6 favorite stations. Our Bose Internet Radio has become essentially worthless. Going with "TuneIn" is backwards progress. We expect more available stations rather than less. We'd like our money back if we could. Can't recommend Bose to anyone.

Does not play from flashdrives

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I'm happy with the sound quality and use. However the USB port is only for setup. It does not allow you to plug in a flashdrive for music play. As more and more people are downloading their music rather than buying CD's some accommodation needs to be made either through an update of the USB port or the manufacturer of an add-on device that would plug into the auxiliary input and allow for flashdrive
use right at the system. Future models should allow for this with a built in USB port. Come on Bose. The times they are a-changing.

My wife bought this for me a few months ago and I have had nothing but problems with it ,volume goes up and down ,sounds great when not having these problems, but it sucks,I was always a big fan of Bose. But not anymore. Very Disappointed
