missing the EQ feature

i am a loyal bose system supporter and i have the soundlink mini ( love it ). in comparison the system is great, i love the features in includes, presets have saved me many times form having to turn on my computer. the sound fills up my room perfectly when i use CD's or internet radio but once i use my bluetooth from my phone or even my computer the volume is not that great. the one thing that i believe is lacking from this unit is the EQ option. but then again many of bose systems lack this function and i do not mind it at all. another thing i dislike is the lack of playing my CDs on this system and being able to hear it on other speakers. besides this i love the internet streaming features. the FM quality is great. the alarms have the options i need and AUX when using it with my TV fills up the room and gives me an excellent stereo filling . i was thinking of bying other soundlink speakers to expand the stereo experience but i believe it will not be possible since i cannot stream the sound form this system to the rest when using aux or CD. i have this unit in my bedroom which is 12' x 10' overall square and it fills it up, anything above 15'x15' i would suggest going another route.
Pros: Sound Quality is excellent when playing CD's , FM, AM, Aux from TV or other devices. internet radio works flawlessly , preset and options for alarm sounds a big plus.
Cons: no EQ , bluetooth from my phone or other devices sound weak and always lag. not capable of sharing sound from CD's or Aux.

overall i bought this unit to play my old and new CD's in my bedroom and to use as a sound booster for my TV and occasionally and alarm. this unit performs for what its intended to do. i would recommended if you where to use it like i do. if you are trying to throw parties and fill up a big room with a stereo system i suggest to look at another model.

Thank you for posting comments about your experiences with the Bose Wave SoundTouch IV. Your review is very thorough and we appreciate the favorable ratings. I have some great news for you, a new feature on the Wave Music Systems is adjustable bass.
To adjust the bass response is a simple process, to do so, simply press and hold Alarm Setup (Menu) on the remote until "-SETUP MENU-" appears on the system display
Press Tune/MP3 > 3 times until "BASS-" displays
Press Time – or Time + to select "NORMAL" or "REDUCED"
Press Alarm Setup (Menu) to exit the menu or wait 10 seconds for the setup menu to automatically exit
You might also find that moving the system away from a wall or corner, or placing the system on or near soft surfaces, decreases bass response. The system's tone characteristics change depending on location and environment

Stunning Sound

I have wanted this system for months and decided to ask "Santa" to put it under the tree this year. It is worth every penny. The set-up took only minutes and connected to my iPhone and iPod effortlessly. I am thrilled with the quality of the sound that comes out of this small system and it sounds like live music being performed right in the room. I think that the radio antenna being built into the power cable is innovative and typical Bose. I also own Bose home theater systems in my living room and bedroom, as well as Bose Sound Link headphones, so I had very high expectations for this product. It did not disappoint. My next purchase will be one or two wireless speakers to use with my system. If you are an audiophile, this is the product you need!

My First Bose System!

Great sound and versatility

I bought this system last week and am already in love with it's simplicity and sound quality. Very easy to set-up and the variety of music this opens is second to none. I look forward to enjoying great music with the versatility of web, bluetooth, CD and radio.

Sound great but app is challenge

We own 4 soundtouch speakers and they are great (5 stars all the way). This Wave system is too complex with CD, internet radio and radio. No doubt sound is what you expect but APP is not good, indeed an Achilles heal. The last update is not good. Also the remote is not good as it does not integrate the whole system well. Fix the software please please.

Great all around sound system

I bought this last Christmas for my bedroom and it's been a pure delight to own. I use all the available features on the system. The best sounding and is the built in CD player. I listen at night and cd's sound superb.
My second favorite is Spotify premium. This adds an unlimited abundance of music in any genre you could possibly want, and with the higher bit rate (320), it sounds fantastic. Last but not least, I'm fortunate to live in the LA area where I can enjoy the local FM classical channel, with great quality.
I also enjoy listening to my own massive collection of cd's I've burned to my iMac in Apple lossless files, streamed from my mac to the Bose system.
I also enjoy internet classical and jazz radio online through the SoundTouch radio.
All in all, this was a perfect purchase for me for my bedroom system. I have access to more music than I'll probably ever be able to listen to.

Absolutely Love it!!!

I bought these speakers a couple of months ago and have been using it to play Pandora, Spotify and music using bluetooth. The outstanding and most noticeable thing with this product is the bass and quality of music at low levels of volume, the quality of bass is stupendous. I have used several systems in the past, including Sony and Sennheiser, but I have struggled to enjoy the Bass on low volume. You will be surprised to notice the size of the speakers in comparison to quality of music they produce.
I also own a Bose Home theatre system connected to my TV and Yamaha Digital receiver and I might sound biased towards Bose systems. The fact is that there are other manufacturers who make amazing products which are comparable to Bose systems, but, one of the biggest challenges which I believe Bose has managed to solve in over a decade, is to make its products smaller, compatible and portable (portable across different environments and usage). Bluetooth + wireless, what else do you want. You can utilize these to pretty much play anything from smart phones, TVs, tabs, computers etc..
By the way, I also have Bose Premium audio system in my Car and I also use Bose QC 35 headphones. I can guarantee that I have never been disappointed.
