Very efficient oven

Gorgeous, efficient oven. Bottom element is under the floor of the oven. First oven I've had where you keep door closed when broiling. Cooks evenly and pre heats quickly.

What happened to the timer

I purchased a new oven which was delivered about 3 weeks ago. I tried to set the timer and nothing happened. I set for 1 minute 30 seconds then hit the start button. It just sat there 01:30.
I then called warranty service. A service tech was then sent out only to find out that the timer was fine, only that this timer's display is hours and minutes. Nothing to track seconds! What a useless timer!
So far am satisfied with the rest of the oven, but it looks like a blatant cost reduction to provide a timer with hour and minute units only. On my old oven, I could set and view up to the second. Now if cooking on the stove and have something requiring me to boil for 30 seconds, I have to take my phone out and use its timer. I miss my old timer.

I had to purchase the exact brand due to the existing cut-out for our cabinet to fit properly. I was satisfied with the previous GE oven, it was still operating properly after being 10 years old. I only replaced it to upgrade to stainless steel. This oven takes a tremendous amount of time to preheat and the timer doesn't work. I have had this oven for only 17 days.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I BOUGHT THIS OVEN AFTER MUCH RESEARCHING ONLINE AND VISITING LOCAL APPLIANCE DEALERS. THE VALUE AND THE PRICE FROM MY ONLINE PURCHASE PROVED TO BE SO MUCH BETTER THAN SIMILAR OVENS OFFERED BY THE BIG BOX STORES IN MY AREA. THE OVEN IS NOT ONLY SLEEK AND BEAUTIFUL, BUT WORKS INCREDIBLY WELL. I AM SO PLEASED AND BETTER YET, INSTALLING THIS OVEN HAS GREATLY INCREASED THE VALUE OF MY KITCHEN REMODEL PROJECT.
