Beautiful and larger than expected!

We just installed it today. The finish is beautiful and accents the other appliances well, it's like the center piece of our kitchen and it shows it's quality. We're pre-curing it now and planning on cooking our first meal with it tonight! This is gonna be a life saver come Thanksgiving too! It's very large on the inside and will hold a full size turkey or ham with plenty of room on the bottom for a pan of sweet potatoes! It's very well lighted as well and the controls are very simple once you understand how to navigate it. GE has a winner here, and we couldn't recommend their product enough.... Thanks for bringing good things to life GE, you certainly did in this household. :)

Takes too long to heat and doesn’t cook evenly. In addition it scratches too easily. Not liking this over one bit

I have only had 1 week. So far so good. I only have 2 complaints. It takes 20 minutes to preheat. The electric heating element is on top. My old one took 5 minutes to pre heat. It had a heating element on top and bottom. Wish I would of bought one like that. Also when I cooked a larger pan on the lower grate I had to put the other casserole 3 to 4 inches from the top. It started to burn.

Replacement GE Oven

I replaced the 20 year old version of this oven with current model. So far not overly impressed. Takes about 10 minutes to preheat to 400. Also smokes/smells way more than the old one ever did. It is only a month old so I am hoping the burnt, new oven smell will go away with use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
