I bought GE appliances primarily because I wanted the slate colors and no one else offers that. GE is a reputable old company so I felt comfortable buying them. However, I spend WAY too much time trying to keep the black glass cooktop clean. Every pan leaves some marks that may or may not buff out. I have to rub and rub with a microfiber towel to keep it from being smeary. The range works as it should. The convection bake does not bake faster than regular bake. I've only had it a few months so haven't even used all the burners yet. I do like that you can pick the size of the burners. But I do not like the marks that are on it already and the amount of effort it takes to make it look clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The stove fit in well with our kitchen. There are great features such as a light indicator for hot surface, burner sizes.

Functions well. Very small burner heat selector lights are hard to see. Also, tho paired with the HE Profile microwave, the Timer functions turn on in different ways. Why?

This is the top rated electric range in Consumer Reports. So far, we can see why. The oven cooks very evenly. The burners heat quickly and are nuanced. Controls are easy to use. The range is visually pleasing. The flat top makes a seamless fit to the counter, which looks great.

I had it since 4/24/2020 and so far so good. It looks nice and seems to heat evenly and fast. I have used both the convection and traditional baking options and both cook well. Cooktop is easy to use with many options. The touch controls are intuitive and respond well. The Chef Connect option also works well with the corresponding microwave that has the same features. I did quite a bit of research before my purchase and it seems that info was correct. The only negative is the bottom drawer which seems a bit flimsy but that appears to be the case with all ranges regardless of brand or price point. That is not a deal breaker for being very pleased with this range.
