Great features

Have been using this microwave for a little over 3 months in my new home. It seems to take a little longer than the previous GE microwave oven in my previous home. This one does a great job with popcorn.

When I bought this microwave, it was because my 5year old GE Profile just stopped working. I specifically asked if this model was the same size. I was assured it was. Imagine my surprise when The delivery men tried install it & is was 1/2 inch higher! I had to have tile removed to put up the face plate & all the holes were different than my last Profile (which was different from my first Profile)! This is the 3rd set of holes we had to make in our cabinet & wall !!!!!! Why can't these appliances be universal so this doesn't happen?
Only time will tell if this one lasts longer than only 5 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am about to retire and wanted to replace my old GE appliances. I bought this microwave several weeks ago. I installed it per instructions and it was easy. The product space inside is very large for cooking and easy to operate. The features are the best that I have seen in a microwave.

We just installed this and the style is beautiful. I'm very happy with the features. The inside is not light enough to see if something boils over and the outside display buttons are impossible to see in the dark which makes it hard to find the light button to push. Otherwise it is a great microwave. I would buy it again, just be aware of those minor flaws.

Great microwave easy to use

We have had it several months now and it is very easy to use, has easy to use time and power settings, defrost works very well. The only negative on this oven is that it is almost impossible to watch what you are microwaving. The window is so dark that you can't see your food. If the food is in a white container you can barely see the container, but no chance of seeing the food. Maybe a brighter interior light bulb or more light bulbs would help. This is a good microwave but there are times the lack of viewing is frustrating.

Great looking microwave but....

So I installed this microwave about 2 months ago and have already had to get it serviced. The vent fan only works on 1 speed and now it needs the vent motor replaced. My last GE Profile microwave lasted less than 5 yrs and I got this one to maintain the same appliance line with my other GE Profile appliances. I'm thankful for the warranty. This microwave has performed well so I can't knock it for that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
