This microwave is just beautiful, efficient (especially the exhaust), and gets the job done. Has so many custom settings, haven't gotten around to exploring them all yet.

We enjoy this microwave but I wish the light would start bright and then go low, instead it starts low and goes bright. The other thing I wish is for the vent to be on or off - instead you have to click 5 times from low, to medium, to high, to boost, then off again every time you want to use it.
I like that it tells the watts so you can know how much time to cook food.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor workmanship

We have had this micorwave for 2 years and has failed.The controls started to work intermittently them failed completly. We've been told the problem is in the door/control panel and it needs to be replaced. The replacement door is as much as we paid for the unit, not including the labor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the look and matches my other new GE Kitchen Applainces. Looks Great over my GE slip in Range. Love the big turntable and the grey interior.

I owned a profile for 8 years we had updated out kitchen about 1 year ago to all stainless appliances. The profile was the only one I had left to update I did not want to part with it but I gave in. I told my wife that I wanted another profile just like the last one you made me give up!!!! I did a little research and believe it or not the top rated over the range microwave in consumer digest was the GE Profile 2.1 . That was enough for me I have it for a week now and it’s just like my old one perfect all the way.
