Critical mechanical flaw, will not look last

I've had a PVM9005SJ2SS for a little over two years. A couple of days ago the microwave tripped the circuit breaker. Wife reset it and everything seemed to be OK. Next day the microwave stopped cooking in the middle of the time set. By stopped I mean the turntable stopped spinning, the clock in the control panel went out, the fans stopped running, the light now fails to come on when the door is opened. It's dead, dead, dead. I didn't really consider how short a time I've had it and started looking for a replacement. A sales manager warned me off of microwaves with control panels in the door stating they seem to get returned or have warranty repairs more often than other microwaves. I looked for service reviews of this one online and saw multiple reports of door issues. The key review was about the control cable getting sliced through by the door, but no pictures. So I took the door off mine and, sure enough, the door has sliced through the outer protective jacket around the control wires. However, as far as I can tell, the signal wires are not severed so I seem to have a secondary issue as well. The smallest replaceable part to fix the control cable is the entire door. It does not seem to be cost effective to repair if I have to replace the door. It also appears that I need to pull the microwave off the wall to get into the cabinet to replace the fuse. I think not worth the effort. I am also now concerned about what happens if the control signal wires short. Could this lead to an issue where the magnetron turns on with the door open or at some other unintended point? Time to buy a new microwave.
There is a critical design flaw with the door. The microwave will not hold up to daily use. This microwave oven is at very least unreliable and possibly even dangerous. Don't waste your money, buy something else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does a great job reheating!

Looks good! Reheats easily. I like the settings for popcorn and sensor. My one complaint is that the vent is not strong enough. When the stove is on and pots are producing a lot of steam, it can't seem to keep up, even on the Boost setting. Not sure if I should have long term concerns about steam getting on the cabinets above the microwave. So far it has not been a problem.
