The function pad must be pressed hard or more than once to initiate the activity. It is definitely not a light touch.

I CAN REACH THE CONTROLS!

This microwave is so nice I hate to let my husband use it! I'm short, I've always tip-toed or grabbed a table chair to set the controls over the range on the microwave. So when I saw this microwave, I had to have it im my kitchen make-over! It's got so many features! I plan to actually cook something in stead of re-heating or cooking popcorn! And I love the light over the range and the vent fan is really nice, 3 levels for the fan and it blows out over my head!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Installed Thanksgiving 2018. Dead Christmas 2020. For the money it should last 10 years.

Overall, I'm very happy with my new microwave! It looks great in my kitchen and seems to work well so far! I have noticed some fingerprints so far on the handle, and there are some noticeable “dimples” on the black control panel when viewed from an angle with glare, so knocking off a star for those two issues, but overall happy with it so far!
