Great features, lots of bels and whistles, cheaply

Bought this piece of appliance in April 2021, by November, the door starts to disintegrate, literally, see pictures. Each morning, we awake to find a fractured piece on the stove. It appears that the seams also leak. I am having 2nd thoughts about this appliance and worry that this is a new trend for GE. Our old appliance lasted 17 yrs; no problems.

We bought top of the line GE profile appliances thinking they would be better than our old versions. We were wrong. They are still loud and work out better than our very old appliances. The buttons are also hard to press and don’t work easily. Save yourself some money and buy the basic line of appliances.

Large microwave fits a lot!

I like the microwave, it fits a large pot to boil water, or to make iced tea. However, the "Chef Connect" feature does not work with the profile Range. Very disappointing as it will not stay connected. We purchased this in order for the light and the fan feature to automatically turn on while cooking on the range.

Weird Oversized Door

This is a basic microwave with more features than I’ll ever use. However, it has an oversized door that is cumbersome and unnecessary for function. While it has a glass window, it’s not transparent so you can’t watch the cooking process. I ordered it as it fit the spec the old one used, but is a step down from my old one.

We had a microwave with a handle on it over the range. The heat from the range warped the handle. The handle and facia of the door all needed replaced. So we decided to buy a new microwave instead. We bought a microwave with no handle, side opening. Looks fabulous. As you see, we are updating the kitchen. This microwave is definitely going to make the kitchen look 110% awesome!
