aesthetically looks great above the stove. What I don’t like is the you can’t see anything inside while it is running because the light is dim and the glass is too dark.

Terrible Lighting - Good Microwave Performance

This microwave replaced a Frigidaire that I bought seven moths ago that had very poor performance. The performance of this GE is quite good. Very happy with it, however the lighting is absolutely abysmal. This is 2024 and GE is still using very dim Incandescent bulbs. Moreover,they recently redesigned and removed one of the two surface lights, so there is now only one surface light. The interior light is so dim that it's barely visible through the door. The one surface light is much too dim to be usable.
I ended up replacing both bulbs with LED bulbs and both lights are now useable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed - Time to replace under 6 years

Microwave only 6 years old and has completely stopped working; no power, nothing! First the inside light started to flicker then they went out; I opened the door one day and the cover for the filter just broke off (taped it to stay up); was still working so I kept using it until a few days ago it stopped working; check fuse outside; check outlet power....It is completely dead. My last GE profile lasted for over 15 years with no issues. Read reviews and others have the same issues. I do not want to buy another one of this brand/model.
