Not what we expected

It feels like a cheap knockoff compared to the Profile model we replaced. The door feels flimsy. Are we sure the unit we purchased is a genuine GE product. In addition, the template that was provided for us to use to line up the holes to drill was inaccurate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to self install, better than someone else too

This is our second purchase of this same unit. The previous unit that failed after a few years was installed by one of the big box store people at the time they delivered it. Unfortunately, it didn’t last because the installers didn’t install it correctly for the re-circulation and they didn’t install the charcoal filter element. Shame on me for not knowing better and trusting them. This new unit I installed myself, and I know it is installed correctly with all the proper filter elements and adjustments with the circulation fans. We really like this model of microwave and the nice features. I’m certain that this one will last a very, very long time.

We had a GE Profile microwave for 8 years. When the magnetron failed, we decided to purchase the same model. We are pleased with the new model except for the halogen light. It is not bright enough. The previous model had 2 lights that illuminated the stove surface very well. A single light on this new model is inadequate. 2 LED lights with luman around 500 would be an improvement.

This thing is a lemon

Have had this microwave just over a year. Right after initial installation the door was replaced as it had major cosmetic issues. Now just over one year it has stopped working. Still has power. Cook top lights work display still works. When you try to cook something only the rotating tray turns around. Just out of GE one year warranty. Fortunately we purchased an extended one year from the local retailer we purchased the microwave from. Not impressed with GE quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
