I am on my 4th house and I always buy GE Profile appliances. Just replaced my 10 year old over the range microwave and love the features. Too bad my old gas range is not Quick Connect.

Great features, heats food evenly

Looks well made and fancy. The controls are easy and I am amazed on some of the preloaded cook setting like soup. With my old microwave, it used to hear only the surface and with the soup setting, it heats the bowl evenly.
I like that it turns on the light and vents when I turn on my GE profile range too.
The only thing that could be better is the size of the door glass. It is too small to check on the food.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Issue with door opening

The left side of the door hits the side of the cabinet, restricting the amount the door can be opened. We replaced a previous GE Profile microwave and did not have this issue with the model JVM1871SK03. Not sure why we are having this issue, as when I look at pictures of the old model, it was actually recessed more than this new unit.
