I love the design but this microwave has some serious issues. We bought this microwave and around a year time the door had crunched on a wire and cut it in half. We thought maybe the installers had not done it correctly and bought this microwave again. Now it is not coming on and the electrician said it’s not an electrical issue do we need to have an appliance specialist come look at it. We’ve never had issues with microwaves before so we do not want to spend the money for a repair when issues keep occurring with this make and model. Very disappointed with this as otherwise it’s a nice microwave.

Nicely designed Microwave

Product replaced an older 1.6 Cu. Ft. GE SpaceSaver unit that was installed new back in 2004...I liked how this newer unit fit up in place of the older model with .5 Cu. Ft. of extra capacity! I specifically looked for a model that did not have a door handle, as that was the only problem I had with my last microwave before the magnetron finally failed. Even though this newer unit came with a 2-year MFG. Warranty, I am hopeful that I'll be able to get many more years than that of trouble-free service.

Great microwave but installation hard

I replaced a working, but damaged GE Profile that I've had since 2004. All the things that not working on the old microwave, are working on the new one. The capacity is about the same as my old one. The controls are arraigned differently which is going to take time to get use to but every option I am used are still there. I have not tried the "auto cook". I like the 1 to 5 minute presets and the power controls. One thing that going to take some time is the larger door. The old unit had controls on the right side, so the door was shorted. The new unit had the door that is the whole 30 inches of the microwave's width with the controls on the bottom of the door.
Me and my son installed the new microwave. Some things have changed since the last time we did this. The shape and size of the back plate were different and the placement of the screw hole that hold up the front of the microwave were also different. We had to drill new hole in the bottom of the cabinet above the microwave. The provided templet was on little use. I had to drill the hole several times before I got the location correct. But the microwave is in place and working great.

Difficult to read the control panel.

This is a very good microwave but it is very difficult to see the control options on a very dark panel. My refrigerator equivalent has control options that light up, but you need bright lights on to see these controls. I am very disappointed and would not purchase this again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
