Good microwave

Good microwave; we were replacing another GE Profile after 13y and only four replacements of the proverbial stupid fuse. Still, chose GE Profile again, so I guess that makes this a positive review. You think?

Good Enough - but not what was expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this microwave to replace the same model we bought in 2019 which recently stopped working. Both are the PVM9005 model line and we were told by multiple sales people from different stores the new one would be the same dimensions and would fit on previous mount easy peasy. Original model was PVM9005SJ3SS and this new one was PVM9005SJ8SS. Long story short, new one looks like a smaller twin. It is about 1” shorter and 1” less deep so old mount wouldn’t work even if it had same support tabs which it didn’t. We actually like the new dimensions better and GE appears to have fixed a few problems like the design of problematic door latch that fails after a few years and the vent fan which now starts in highest speed instead of on low speed. We’ll see if anything else got better. One other negative is old one had two over counter lights and this new one only has one. How they can claim both are the same pvm9005 model line is beyond me when external dimensions are different and internal cooking area opening is much smaller. The Chef Connect feature still works with our matching GE Profile stove.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice looking and a tad hotter than many. The only downside is that your finger has to be exactly in the right spot on a push button for it to work.

Excellent with one exception

Like everything about it except many of the buttons have to be pushed really hard. Had service come and he just said it has to be pushed very firmly.

The buttons on the control panel do require some force. This is normal. We are happy that you are enjoying your beautiful new microwave, and we are confident that you will enjoy the turntable on/off feature. This feature allows the user to have complete control over this microwave turntable with flexible options that switch the turntable on and off.
