Looks great but cheaply made!

Looks good but cheaply made! I have hade nothing but problems. I have replaced the door once already. Not the microwave isn't powering on again. I suspect it is the door malfunctioning once again! I have had the whole microwave replaced one and I have had the door replace another time. This Now I noticed that the plastic frame is falling apart.
This should not be happening for the amount of money spent on this product. This microwave was not cheap!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked okay till it didn't

Worked up until a day ago. Had it for two years and worked as advertised. Last night starting heating some vegetables for supper, the microwave started making a loud humming sound and it tripped the breaker. Unplugged the unit reset the breaker, plugged it in, display lit up for second started humming and tripped the breaker again. Guess we’re shopping for a replacement since it’s out of warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Chef Connect is useless

I am basically happy with this product, but with two exceptions. First, this replaced the same unit I had for five years. However it died one month after the extended warranty expired. I'm hoping to get more than five years out of this one. Second, the Chef Connect feature is Bluetooth based, and the GE Profile range I bought six weeks ago has wifi, not Bluetooth, so the two products can't connect with each other. Why would GE offer two non compatible technologies within the same Profile line? I would love to get a reply from GE, but I doubt that I will.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Function follows form, unfortunately

Great looking appliance, and nice to have it sync the light and vent with our GE range via Bluetooth. Otherwise it's like most other microwaves, with one unfortunate exception.
The door is WAAYYY too wide. You see, the GE product team wanted to make this one pretty and sleek to match the GE Profile range with electronic controls across the entire front, which they accomplished. But, to do that, they made the door another 7 inches wider, with a pocket handle behind the door frame on the right. That means that -- in order to access the opening to put food in or take it out -- a person standing a normal distance in front of the microwave oven MUST either first take a step backward OR lean over WAY to the right so the door can fully open without hitting the user in the face!!! A true design "fail."
I wish we had a chance to test-drive this one before we had purchased it. If we had, we would have bought a model with a door designed so it doesn't aim for one's face...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Rich in price poor in quality.

No quality product my first product failed exactly after 1 year and my new product failed with in 10 months. very common problem is door latches failing and tripping the power and components replacement is very costly if there is no insurance coverage. Basically this product is not build with quality.

Only worked well for about a year!!

We bought this microwave August 2022, and started acting weird about a year later. The vent fan would turn on at random times and then couldn't be turned off except for by unplugging it. It also would sporadically not actually run, just open the door, close it again and then it would run. Unfortunately by the time we called the distributor it was already outside of the 1-year warranty, nothing they could do about it. Now February 2024, with a microwave that's only 17 months old it won't run at all - no lights, no fan, no heating, nothing. It wasn't at all worth matching with our range.

Nice, but DIM!

This was purchased to replace a broken GE Spacesaver unit. The appearance is very nice and the lack of handle is great, since the handle broke off of my last two GE Space Saver units . I am greatly vexed by the inadequate lighting beneath the hood. My previous unit had two bright lights provifing great illumination of my range top. This new model has a single 50 W bulb that dies not supply enough light to safely use the cooktop, thus my 4-star rating. The unit has good internal capacity and heats well
I would recommend this to a friend!

It worked fine until it broke. It only lasted us 4 years, which I find ridiculous for such an expensive microwave. Would not purchase again.
