Love my new GE oven

Since we had the new GE oven installed six weeks ago, we have used it for roasting, baking and broiling and are amazed at how quickly the oven comes to temperature. This replaced a twenty year old GE oven that always performed. We already know that this oven will outperform its predecessor.

I previewed many ovens in the year before my purchase. Because my occupation takes me into clients homes I was able to ask them about their own appliances. GE was recommended often. I am so happy with me new oven. It is easy to use, clean, and performs well on all levels, bake, roast, and broil.

Replaced 17 year old GE oven and lost a feature

I bought this oven to replace a 17 year GE oven. I was disappointed to find out that the "Cook Time" feature was not present. I had always used that in combination with the "Delay Start" to have dinners ready and not over cooked. I also wish the two controls were simetrical. Even though the bottom oven does not have the convection feature, the buttons in common could have been place in the same location for both ovens to prevent hunting for the matching between when using 2 ovens. Finally the timer functionality should be consistent between GE products. On my GE microwave, the "Timer" button starts and stops the timer. On this oven the "Timer" button allows you to enter the time, but the "Start" button must be pressed to start the timer. If the "Timer" button is pressed a second time, it cancels the timer.
