Just encountered the apparently very common F97 error. Web search will reveal multiple complaints. Cooling fan, happened after running top and bottom through cleaning cycle. Good to have home insurance.

New Appliance Has Never Worked Properly

GE unable to correct F96 fault after 2 attempts. Parts for new appliance inexplicably take 10 days.

Off to bad start

Installed in new home and tried out for first time last Friday for daughters 18th birthday party hosting nine of her friends for slumber party. Code F97 kept coming on and oven shuts off after minute or so. Getting ready to call them and see how there service is.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Intermittent issue with gas burner

I love the GE brand and their customer services is awesome. However, I've had a few issues with my cooktop. The light for the safety control indicator had to be replaced; and now one of the burners for the cooktop is hard to turn on. With that said, I am certain as soon as I contact GE about my latest issue my burner will be fixed!!

Great Addition to New Kitchen

These ovens came with our new home and are absolutely beautiful. The displays are nice and shows the temperature as it's heating up a beeps when it gets to the correct temperature. The timer takes a little getting used to, but other than that we love it!
I would recommend this to a friend!
