This is my 3rd GE ceramic cook top. the first stayed with the home I sold the second lasted 14 years and this is the third. I am always happy with the quality of GE.

Does what a range should

Replaced our 20+ year old range with this smooth top model. I was concerned about the smooth cook top after reading reviews about how it could be stained or damaged, but it has been easy to take care of and looks nice. Mostly wipe with wet cloth and dry. Did have to quit using the cast iron cookware as recommended.Occasionally use the cleaning product that came with the range. Have not tried the oven convection feature. Regular baking works well with quick preheat and accurate temperature. The oven does not have a keypad for entering temp or baking time, just +/- buttons. This works, but makes for a lot of pushes on the buttons, I hope the button membrane holds up over time. No broiler pan came with the range. Overall satisfied with the purchase after ~6 months.
