LOVE THE STAINLESS TOP!!!!!!!!!!!

We come from a family of chefs, and this range has all the bells and whistles if a pro range. Baking is consistent, the large burners heat water in a flash. The stainless steel top is a breeze to clean. We love it!

Nice, but......

Nice look and performance, but...
1. Setting the timer - you have to mash the buttons really hard to set it. My old GE was much better for this.
2. The burners are too big for a small to medium sized pan. The small on this stove is the same as the large on the old stove. Great for large pans, not so great for every day.
3. The griddle plate, which I will never use - and now I have to buy the extra grate, pretty cheap on GE's part - gets all splattered when you cook anything. Yes, under the center grate will get dirty, but that area is easier to wipe up than lofty the 50 pound griddle.

Had this range for 3 months now and love it we use the grill and griddle alot ! And the all stainless top makes clean up easy.

Exceeded my expectations

I've always been skeptical of gas ranges, mostly because the ones I'd used up to this point had never held the flame at a constant setting. This range is a welcome change, when I set the burner on low or simmer the flame stays at low/simmer. The oven bakes more consistently and accurately than the last range we had. And the new slate color is gorgeous.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Getting used to the new Range

We got out new range about a month ago and are still getting used to it. Would have liked a hard copy guide book for some of the settings. "buttons" are hard to push.
Not sure about the grill - tried once and everything stuck. Afraid to try again for fear we have or will ruin the surface.

We bought this range to actually replace another brand that we had purchased just over 1 year earlier. This GE range is so much better; there is actually no comparison!
