Has been in service less than six months. Probably only ran four dish cycles, since I usually hand wash. Now the unit makes the "door open" chime randomly three or four times a day. Got tired of that. Tried the reset. Tried removing power for twelve hours. No change. Leaving the power off now as it is annoying. Now it just fills a hole. Not happy about my investment. Hope all of my other GE products fare better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Everything comes out clean and shiny

Bought this diswasher few months ago, very pleased with it. I didnt need a machine with all the bells and whistles just a machine that simply got your dish clean. I do love the auto wash, cleans them perfect everytime. Love that the inside of the machine is dark gray, no staining. Love silverware bin is changeable, i like mine on the door. Very happy with this dishwasher.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I spent money on GE because I always trusted them. This is the first DW I had bought in 15 years. My last one I would gladly take back. The HEAVY energy cycle take 4 HOURS to finish. It's just my husband and I and we eat out a lot. I had 2 boys and my other one like I said lasted 15 years of solid use. So mad it did not last 3 years. The electronics panel went out already. Dummy me for not getting the extended warranty but I thought it would last longer than this and never had appliances quit this quick. Think twice before you get this. I did do research and check reviews. MY BAD...not getting another GE product.

Well it was impossible to have a conversation in the kitchen with my 7yr old dishwasher it was so incredibly loud. So I purchased this one. I was frustrated with the installation, especially the mounting bracket which has to be installed next to a plastic piece that won't allow you to use a socket to install the bracket? But once installed I was happy with the noise level and the dishes seem clean enough. Would have preferred a different type of hinge on the door I am a little worried about the life expectancy of the door.

My New GE Dishwasher

This is my second GE dishwasher. I decided to stick with the same brand I had before which lasted over 12+ years. So here is what I noticed with this new model. Works great. Gets my dishes clean on both top and bottom racks. It's fairly quiet. It takes a while from start to finish with the heat cycle on. The heat cycle doesn't leave your dishes and plastics dry and will require the door propped open. That part isn't any different from my previous model. I would say the only slight drawback is this dishwasher seems lower to the ground than my previous one so you have to bend
over more for that bottom rack. But my mugs and glasses fit well on the top rack and while the racks may look small at the store they really do provide enough room. For the price, it's pretty good and was affordable and that's one of the main points for me. I hope it lasts as long as my previous one.

First GE dishwasher I have purchased. Loved the color. Cheap interior-all plastic walls. Noisy as heck. Previously owned three other brands--no comparison in terms of quality or noise level.

Noisy - plasric shelf breaking

I got this dishwasher in November. One of the plastic clips on the shelf is broken so the shelf will not stay up. It is very noisy whem running. I want to make sure this is not just a bad dishwasher before I give poor rating.

Excellent Dishwasher

Bought this to replace old GE Profile dishwasher. This dishwasher washes dishes and pans much better than other one ever did. Flatware, even knives used for peanut butter, come out very clean. Very quiet.
