sound was cheap and didnt work

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good sound, AUTO POWER OFF does nothing

Sounds good but it takes a few seconds to "warm up" after it hasn't received audio for like 30 seconds, so almost every video and song has the intro muted. It also really likes to turn itself off after like 30 minutes of no audio input, but I want it to just stay on all the time. AUTO POWER OFF on the remote seems to have no effect in my experience. Also the case design is weird, it's impossible to just set it on a dresser facing forward.
Pros: Quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn't always automatically switch to OPTICAL

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Doesn't always automatically switch to OPTICAL input. You get background sound, music, noise of a i.e., jet, motor, but, you will see people lips move and not their voice. You have to press the function button to switch the unit to OPTICAL to hear the full sound. This unit is attached to a LG OLED TV.
