We wanted a small, basic, easy to use camera that took great photos and we were not disappointed. It fits into my pocket. Close-ups (macro) are a breeze. The small size makes holding the camera for its huge 20x zoom lens easy, giving us sharp photos without the camera shake. Does well with family photos as well.

Took great photos and videos on my African safari. It now takes a standard
Memory card. Instead of a memory stick. I have had 3 other Sony cameras and again had to purchase a different battery pack.
As I wanted to be sure I had a charged battery every time I went out on safari, I purchased the travel charger as it came with a battery for a few dollars more. The only other way of charging your battery is while it is in the camera

Purchased camera 10 months ago and still having problems with it's small recessed buttons. The screen to enter wifi password is too time consuming to work. The camera turns off before completed.

I like this Sony camera very much. My only complain is the Macro feature: it doesn't work for me. I managed to get it set once, took great macro pictures, then never again. I don't understand its setting. When I get set and use the macro setting it just doesn't work, it looks out of focus. If you don't care for Macro shots, get it, it takes very good photos, sharp and excellent quality, and good for making professional photo prints.
If macro is your must, get something else. Maybe it is just me, I followed the instructions, but by now I should have figured it out. It is a great camera though. A bit small for big hands. Well, that's the price for the comfort of a small pocket camera. I forgot, the video and audio are the expected great quality for Sony products: superb!
