I love this oven!

My oven died 3 months ago and although I really wanted a slide-in model, it wasn't in the budget. Through my research, I decided on this model, mainly going on looks. It wasn't to be found on any showroom floor in town so I wasn't able to even see it or touch it in person. I ended up buying it online, thinking I would be settling and making a horrible mistake. I couldn't have been more wrong! I am so in love with this oven!! I can't say enough good things about it. It looks and feels substantial and the quality is impressive. The griddle in the middle is actually what I use the most, it is such a nice feature to have. The cast iron griddle and grates are heavy and of the highest quality, the knobs are big and don't feel flimsy, the convection oven works great and does not make a lot of noise (there is clicking though when it goes on and off), the BTU's make boiling water a snap and this oven even makes the cutest chimes :) Even though I have only had it for three months, I would recommend in a heartbeat. The only negative I have is that my interior oven light has gone out. I haven't looked to see if it's just the bulb that is burned out, or an electrical issue, but hopefully it won't be anything major.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hate it already

We used this for the first time tonight. After being extremely careful removing the racks to clean the top, I note that there are already scratches on the top. I bought this model because our other stove had a black top and you had to clean it 50 times a day. Do the people who design your stoves ever actually cook on them. I think not. The racks are heavy as is the grill in the center. Remember all the baby boomers in the US now? Think all of us will easily lift there unduly heavy grates at least 3 times a day to clean the top? Why don't you put a coating on the stainless steel at least, without tacking on three or more thousand dollars in the price. Have to say I hate this stove because of the stainless steel penchant for scratches and the heaviness of the grill and grates. I do like all of the other features so far.

Nice Convection

I like the color, size, and some features of the GE profile stove. I do not like some of the features which make it incovenient. I don't like that the grates are linked together. This makes it difficult to clean when you only use one side. It also makes it easier to chip. I also do not like the lip that sticks out of the control panel on the back. Things get stuck in it and it it's not easy to clean. I also do not like the plastic knobs. This is a cheap feature that scratches easy. Two thumbs down. The stove top is not easy to clean. I have tried several products to clean spills without scratching it and the spots have not come off of the lighter plates. Again two thumbs down.

Unsure

Installed today and looked great until I walked out to the kitchen tonight and found one side of the lower drawer hanging lopsided down to the floor. My husband looked in there with a flashlight and said it appears the glide is bent and thus only a portion of the slider is on it. Between that and the gap on one side of the top of oven door I'm beginning to think this wasn't such a great purchase. I haven't even had a chance to boil water on it yet. I hope someone stands behind it for repairs.

Great gas range!

First gas range in 50 years of cooking & we LOVE it! So great to be able to reach high temp/boil quickly and, best of all, th heave temp reduce quickly. We have the reversible grill/griddle, which we used to grill a steak the day the range was installed. It was DELICIOUS, everything we've baked, cooked & broiled have been delicious. Finally.....we can REALLY COOK!

No need for a furnace!

I bought this in August of 2016. I read several reviews and thought I was getting a great oven. Instead, the oven releases an extreme amount of hot air through the vents near the control panel during baking. The oven temperature is completely off. Waiting for a time to get in touch with a repair man, so that I can either get some kind of control of baking temps, or satisfy the store so I can return it! Stove top works great! Love the two large burners, they do boil water a lot faster than my old stove that I replace. Wish they would include the grate panel instead of a grill, had to buy that separate. Overall quality of materials that were used to make this stove seems so much inferior to the oven I just replaced. They just don't make things the way they used too.

So far what we like best on this model is the oven size and baking capabilities. The downsides that I would like to see improved upon is the touch panel for settings, it requires a hard push on the membrane to set anything, and if you change a setting from such as "bake" to "convection bake" after having pushed the "start" button, you have to push start again, or it will "time-out" and stop baking. On the cooktop controls, I was surprised how little control you have over the flame, and it varied among the burners with the best control being the front two (Large) burners that displayed no change in flame size between the settings of 3-6 and 8-Hi. The worst burner was the small "simmer" burner on the back left side, where the flame size stayed the same from the #4 setting to Hi and would take a Very long time to boil a small pan of water. The medium sized burner kept the flame the same from #5 to Hi and I believe if they made the simmer burner this size, it would have been a better design. We are using LP gas, and the gas company converted it correctly when we had it installed. I don't know if the outcome would be any different if we were using natural gas. The storage drawer at the bottom of the range should be made better also. It is very flimsy, and not very smooth to operate. I give high marks to the size and function of the griddle - again, the flame size doesn't change from #4 to Hi on this burner either.
