Self cleaning electric range

First time with glass top. Easy to clean. Husband also likes the black color. Looks good in kitchen. Now I need a gray or black refrig

Bought the range 6 months ago. Having trouble setting the range clock!! Followed the instructions on the instructions booklet but clock wouldn't set!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Stove Yet Hard to Keep Clean!

The stove cooks the food very well. However, this is my first time owning a glass cook top and it's hard to clean. I use the recommend cleaning product, which is the item that came with the stove and it doesn't clean these spots that are on the two front burners that I use regularly. I am using all new pots with smooth bottom (no rings) Please let me know what I can do? I want to have this product for years and I want to be apple to purchase of products made by GE too! I would add a photo; however, my husband is making breakfast right now.

Love my Stove

I bought this stove after the door on my previous 6 week old stove exploded. Love the two multi-burners and the convection feature.

TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

This range replaced a similar GE range that we loved, but was 16 years old & deemed not worth repairing. How we wish we had repaired the old range.
The new GE ranges do not have surface lights, a feature that we had used every day. The overhead GE microwave light does not fully replace the range light.
The new glass surface is not as easy to clean as the old. For unknown reasons the surface holds on to spilled material even using the provided cooktop cleaner. Also, the new ranges have 5 burners instead of 4 so that the back burners are all small (one being only a warming burner) so that middle sized pots cannot be used on them. Because the front burners (dual large & small) are larger that the older ranges had, there is no longer a burner for very small pans.
The electronic controls on this range are much more difficult to use than the old. T controls are not as logically designed and placed. While the old range clock remained on at all times, this range has only one dial so that the clock setting is not visible during timed cooking.
The convection oven temperature settings do not seem to be accurate. We now only use the standard oven setting.
The burner knobs on the back of the range top had only an indentation to indicate the position that the knob had been turned to...we had to paint the indents white to be able to know where the dials pointed.
After owning only GE ranges for the last 50 years, we must state that this is the first one that we totally dislike.

We bought this GE range over a month ago & we’re so glad we did. Stayed with the glass top & it is beautiful. Also, got the convection feature! Best of all, it looks awesome with our newly added GE microwave that matches!
