We bought it a few months ago and it seems to have lost it's break down power. We basically use it for soft vegetables and fruit and we seem to have to leave it running longer every time we use it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this after Christmas because my daughter and I love smoothies plus is great for the diet I am on. It works really well with both fresh and frozen fruits. I also incorporate seeds and nuts into my smoothies and it really grinds everything up well. Love the mugs with travel lids as I take it to work often. The recipes in the booklet are great and very tasty. Very easy to use and the cleanup is amazing. I am very pleased overall and would highly recommend the Nutrubullet.

This was a gift for my husband, but I definitely use it more and I'm loving my green smoothies almost every morning. It tops any other blender that I've used as far as pulverizing the food. We've already gone through a gasket because we overfilled it and it popped out while blending and was cut in two. DO NOT OVERFILL and use enough liquid so you don't strain the motor. I'm not giving it a 5 star because I was annoyed that I had to purchase a new blade in order to get a new gasket. They should sell gaskets separately, but still it was only $13.
