First unit failed after daily use for about 5 months. The gasket in the blade assembly had become worn and it leaked into the motor unit. The resulting stickiness caused the switch actuator to break, rendering the unit inoperable. The second unit I bought has a different gasket design Much thicker and looks replaceable. It seems to seal better. The gasket in the second unit is now starting to wear and I have found out that a replacement is not available. My second unit appears to be the older design and all the new ones have the non replaceable thin gasket that failed in my first unit. I would have to buy an entire blade assembly to fix it. Bought a Nutra Ninja instead.

I did some research prior to buying a device such as this, and I'm glad I did. The consensus was very much in favor of the Nutribullet and my family's experience has been nothing short of complete satisfaction.
We have used it to be many different smoothie combinations as well as some other mixed drinks and it's been wonderful. There is some trial and error to be sure (my first attempt at salsa came out as puree) but that's on my end and no fault of the device.
What makes it even better is that clean-up is a breeze. One thing to remember - do not fill past the line indicated on the containers. If you do, you'll get leakage. It's that simple. If you try it, you'll learn that they put the line on there for a reason. With a variety of container sizes, extra containers, lids, etc., this product is completely worth the investment.
