Great dishwasher at a great price!

I needed to quickly get a dishwasher when my other broke right before the holidays. I’ve always been happy with GE, so off to the store I go. I found the price reasonable, so without any research, I picked it out in 5 minutes. It is very quiet, but it does take a much longer time to run through a cycle. I have found that if you don’t choose the “heated dry” cycle, everything is drenched when you open it up and you have to hand dry some things. The design allows me to get a lot more dishes per load than my old one did. It’s much easier to get things like casserole dishes to fit, which I never would imagined doing with my old one. Very pleased with my purchase.

Dishes, pots & pans must be pre-rinsed

I've had this dishwasher for several months now. Dishes, pots & pans must all be pre-rinsed before washing to be sure they'll come clean. If they aren't rinsed first, there's a good chance that at least some dishes will have to be washed again so I usually do this by hand. Needless to say I'm a little disappointed by this. It is VERY quiet and I like the heated dry as I can just empty the dishwasher in the morning and put the dishes away without having to towel-dry anything. Pertaining to the next question: I would recommend this unit to a friend but with caveats.

We've had machine a month now and it works superbly. Dishes come out clean all the time, whereas our previous one would not always clean everything. Silverware slots I originally thought would be cumbersome actually work very nicely.

When shopping for a new dishwasher, we were looking for the most features with a reasonable price and we found it with GE. We purchased our dishwasher 2 months ago and we love it. We barely hear it running which was a nice surprise from our old dishwasher. It has so much room for pots and pans and I really like the silverware holder on the door. Thank you GE for making such a Great product.
