The ability to clean is lacking, dishes are left soaking wet no matter which drying option you choose, cleaning time takes forever, it is difficult to clean the ss, and it has smelled since day one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

DW came with the new house. I've been warned that the DW stays wet. They were right. Only way to dry it out is leave it open. Otherwise you will get a musty. molding DW.

Does a good job

I bought the GE Artistry Series originally, but the product is out of production and the salesman suggested this dishwasher as a good match. So far no complaints on it's performance, however... The kitchen is the hub of a house, it seems that when ever someone leans up against the dishwasher, they turn the thing on. I wish the pad were actually on top and hidden away to prevent this. Other than that, I'm really happy with the performance, dishes come out clean, the noise level is tolerable, and the exterior look is sleek and kind of retro.

It seems to take a lot longer to run a load with the drying feature than our previous dishwasher. I have been washing without drying to save energy and speed up the process.

Does the Job

This item was purchased last month due to my old dishwasher not draining the after properly and this machine works like a charm. The cycles are long (shortest 75 minutes) but still will get the job done. I have also noticed that the heated dry feature is not always necessary. The water gets so hot that the dishes are pretty much dry after a cycle. Food easily comes off dishes and pots do become clean, as long as cooked on food is scrubbed off before being placed in washer. Worth the money and easy installation
