A nice dryer except for softening sheet issues.

Dryer works well except for the fact that softening sheets always get caught in area near the lint filter. The sheets are torn and discolored. Sheet fragments intermingled with clothes. Will have to call for s warranty repair. Hope they can fix this problem!

Don't Buy This Dryer - Very Frustrated!

I am so disappointed and frustrated with this dryer as the dryer vent guard on the inside of the dryer catches all the dryer sheets and my clothes resulting in some rips, snacks and tears. I have tried to tap the metal guard in with a hammer and it doesn't fix the problem. So today I wrapped the entire metal guard with white ribbon so my clothes won't get caught on the metal guards. I am hoping this fixes the problem. I know this is a defect with the dryer as my friend bought the same washer and dryer and their dryer does the same thing. It took me almost 8 weeks to even get the washer and dryer (I received in January 2018), as they kept telling me it was on back order. I haven't contacted GE as I am just so frustrated and stressed about this problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Both my husband and I love this dryer. it is quiet, love the see thru door and the specail features. the e-dry is an exciting feature and our clothes come out perfect.
I would recommend this to a friend!

after purchasing this dryer I read some of the reviews. People mentioned clothes getting caught on the sensor bars. Well this is happening to me. also the dryer vibrates.

Rips clothes to shreds

Issue is with the lint trap cover. It has two metal straps that attach to the inside of the dryer and the lint trap cover. This continually ruins the clothes and towels since it catches on the clothes and rips the threads out of them.
Also, this dryer takes way too long to dry clothes

Lost Over $800 in Clothing First Week

I want to say that I love this dryer's performance as far as getting clothing dry. However, the engineer that designed this atrocity owes me some money. There are metal bars in front of the lint catcher that seemingly only have the purpose of destroying your clothing. We've lost shirts, shorts, jeans and anything with a button, tie back or long collar to this menace. Ruined my favorite shirt first and is working down the rest of our wardrobes. Look at what it did to this dryer sheet and imagine it might be something you want to wear later.

The heat is hot, hotter, and blazing. Things catch in the front all the time, and not just dryer sheets. I would never buy this again.
