Good so far...VERY quiet end-of-cylce signal

I have had this dryer for a couple of weeks, and so far it seems like it is working well. It has a lot of settings, but I find myself just using the "mixed load" auto dry setting most of the time. It is a lighter weight, and a little more "plasticy" than my old dryer, but that is true with most things today.
My one big complaint is that the end-of-cycle signal is VERY SOFT. There is a volume adjustment, but even the "loudest" setting, it is woefully muted. We typically have the door to our laundry room shut when the washer and/or dryer are running, and unless it is silent in the house (which it never is), you will not hear the chime. It does repeat a few times, but at the same volume. It would be nice if there was an option to make the noise much louder. My old dryer had a LOUD signal, that you could clearly hear. This one sounds more like you just completed a level on a vintage video game. Oh, well, the dryer seems to function well, so while this is a big annoyance, it's not a deal breaker.

It is working great. My son purchased his a couple of years ago and I had the opportunity to use his dryer and was happy with the results, so I bought one too.

I love the large capacity, and the light inside so I can see what's in there. The drying is so automatic - the loads are dried perfectly every time.

So far the dryer has been what I need. It is very quiet and it has a technology that recognizes the weight of your clothes and will automatically set sometimes to a setting like damp... it is very convenient and it matches my GE washer.
