Love my new dryer!

I'll preface this by saying that I had to use pliers to turn on my old dryer so I may or may not be slightly happier than the average person. :) Nonetheless, I love the smart sensor that eventually learns my drying habits, having multiple options for different load types and the visible timer. It's nice to have a rough estimate of completion to help me stay on top of changing my loads. And finally, the drum light is great in helping me find that one item I want to pull out early after I receive the damp alert. As a side note, I really appreciate the auditory notifications not being obnoxious buzzing sounds. All in all, this is a great machine that I'm confident will last for many years.

For bulky items, like a king size comforter, I was disappointed that it took 3 cycles in the dryer for it to get dry. The dryer has great capacity but for items that large, it under-performed in my opinion. The comforter just kind of folds in on itself as it tumbles, and the interior parts stay damp, thus requiring the extra cycles in the dryer. Other than that, it does work well for all other clothes so far.

I stressed a lot about picking out a new washer and dryer set. Have had a hand-me-down set that worked fine for 10+ years. Was excited to switch to high capacity and I love that part about this dryer. The motherboard went out on it after a month and a half of use so that wasn’t good but it’s under warranty and fixed now so whatever. Good dryer.

Love our new GE Dryer!!

Love our new GE Dryer!! Such an upgrade over the one we replaced. The old one was still working but was 13 years old and we wanted a newer, more energy efficient unit. So far, this appliance fits the bill. Many more drying options available than on our old machine. Really like the digital display feature and the ability to either choose the preset drying times or manually enter them. Dryer filter location right at the door opening makes it easy to remember to do the recommended cleaning with each load to maximize performance. Very happy with our decision to stay with GE!!
